holy hell does that even work? I mean could you theoretically float near the divide of the "bars" and the leviathan can't do anything but roar angrily at you?

I think this issue is fixed in the latest update (the march build)
So far under my new save I've been building a mansion/base and the life pod has remained nice and steady where it is even after aurora exploded.

I personally would like to see the terraformer gone. I've started a new save and challenged myself to build a massive base without eating terrain. Is it a pain to build around every nook and cranny? sure. But its honestly amazing once you see a base…

why is the terraformer being removed? Not that I mind, I seldom use it unless its to remove a pesky weed that cuts into my base when I build

Also I too am hoping to coax a leviathan into a tank... or at least coax an egg out of it so I may hatch a pet leviathan and call it squishy -
yeah use "item reefbackegg 2" so that you spawn 2 and they'll breed. Trust me, seeing a pint sized reefback should be on everyones bucket list.

just some info, but the fish will stop breeding once your large tanks are full. I currently have 2 large aquariums joined together and theres about 10 jelly rays in them and no more eggs

I'm honestly not sure if its a bug or not but I currently have several nuclear reactors spread out throughout my base.

so I found the cave (finally). I have dubbed it satan's cave. Def a place to explore with the seamoth/cyclops if you can maneuver. The place is DARK. Not even the seaglide light cuts through which makes it very eerie.

I spawned the reefback eggs because reasons.
Lets just say the mini reefbacks are the most adorable things ever!
I can't wait to brave the leviathan for a egg of that just to have a mini terror in my hatchery. -
welp, gotta consult the map since theres no one in the ocean I can ask for directions. And all those leviathans do is knock me around...useless I tell ya

I made an account JUST to be able to read and comment on this story. I have to say "wow" first because it's amazing so far.
I'd be sorely disappointed if this story isn't included in the subnautica lore. -
I noticed that as well. I spent about 20 minutes sprucing up my base and suddenly my lifepod was closer to floater island than ever. Pushed it about half way back to base before I gave up and left it to float again
