3a - Live fish don't count as "food" and stay alive indefinitely in storage, despite what you might think. Only cooked food or harvested plants / fruits / vegetables / samples spoil.

He can and definitely will use a teleport shot on you at point blank range, but probably only under threat of imminent harm. One 'ported directly in front of my speeding Seamoth once, and I had just enough time to see it materiali… -
The Dunes and the crash scar aft of the Aurora are the only reasons I'd consider killing a Reaper. I don't really explore the Dunes because they're just so damned dangerous (and stupidly dark for a surface biome well above 1000m, which is the dista…

Someone didn't play during the period where one or two of the Lifepod 5 spawn points were actually inside the maximum radiation spread radius. And the rad suit required something like 4 silver to make. Early game used to c… -
Haven't heard a single roar (except for that echoing, suggestive, faint roaring you hear in the Blood Kelp trench near the Dunes) for over 2 updates now. They don't need to be utterly silent. They're bad enough as it is. Going to hope and assume …

There's every reason to believe a certain amount of "Bigger Fish" games go on in the oceans of 4546B, which is why so many things are so large / bigger than they look in your perspective (jelly and ghost rays, for one, are way bigger than they look)…

Okay, aside from chasing down eggs which I don't have the energy to do right now, this is as complete as my main Shallows base is going to get. This is the most common "live-in" base I build, on top of that tall rock formation between one of the Bi…

It's possible to argue that the light diffusion from our various lights is insufficient for gameplay purposes, and/or that the "hull darkening" effect they use to prevent shiny surfaces from reflecting and amplifying ambient light like the un-textur…

I agree... and I was looking up the recipe details for the Floodlight to talk about how that used to be exploitable for infinite batteries, without losing your original mats like you do with the repair tool. But to my great… -

Maybe they aren't employing special tactics beyond "Get 'em!", but I call it a "pack" when 3 or more toothy things attack at once, at least when they're my size or larger. By that measure, everything except Leviathans come in frea… -

LOL, he's right you know. I once spitballed the math to figure out how much electricity it would take to create the mass of a typical ham sandwich (cheese, lettuce, tomato, mustard, on a paper plate, no napkin) - by direct matter-… -

It's honestly hard not to feel like nightfall is triggered every time you leave a seabase or pick up a resource. The beds help, now, but I keep finding that they have a fixed amount of sleep time instead of just waking you at dawn… -

I dunno about that. Reapers have to swim to you, so they can grab you. Warpers just "decide to be over there". The Reaper's range is limited by his swim speed, fast as it may be. Their is completely arbitrary.

It's definitely got the outline of a ladder drop, and (though I'm not sure how you could force it), it apparently is possible for ladder tops to orient either way ("front/back" or "left/right") in a corridor, so that could be what …My understanding was that breeding infected fish was supposed to be their "Achilles' Heel", since there's almost no other way to avoid dying to them. They're camped out, in numbers, near stuff you must explore. They teleport away from every single…(Quote)
That's the back of a locker behind the planter, I'm guessing (I so rarely look at the back of lockers), but what's that under it, making that ring-shaped stand looking thing? You can't put hatches in the bottom of corridors, so wh…(Quote)
Solar panels, growbeds, floodlights, spotlights, or even salvaged items like luggage bags that you can place outside (any outside placeable item) will vanish if you perform any construction attached to or inside of a base piece tha…I find that the single biggest factor for replayability so far has been the lack of an in-game map. I'm forced to explore different areas as I try to navigate by landmarks and occasionally fail, ending up in areas I've never seen before. Often the…Well that generally is supposed to be how it always boils down, isn't it? "Possible, but so difficult as to not be worth the trouble". I didn't think it would be feasible to plain-old fight the Reaper with a Propulsion Cannon because you're 1 miss…I thought the Blood Kelp wreck was over 400 m down? Without the Modification Station there's no Pressure Compensator MkII, so you can't get close enough with a Seamoth to avoid drowning; 200 m plus away from your O2 source that deep is just not saf…While the seaglide mitigates it a little, the different factors involved do put realistic limits on filling your inventory with air tanks. You get so very slow that you need the seaglide full-time to move at any reasonable speed. Using the seaglid…(Quote)
I felt the same way, but apparently the PRAWN is supposed to fix this now. If you know how to hunt silver in vents and the couple of places it's easy-to-get-at-without-getting-blown-up-by-Crash in the shallows, you can make the fi…(Quote)
Well as long as creature leashing is still broken it won't retreat MUCH, just like everything else. Though I've actually gotten better results with Reapers than nearly everything else. Maybe size has something to do with it becau…(Quote)
Are you playing Experimental? Because the scanner does not react to dead creatures at all in Stable, and never has at least as far back as the Habitat Update way-back-when.It was my understanding that a stock PRAWN would probably run out of hull points faster than the Reaper runs out of hit points in a conventional grapple-vs-drill arm fight. Perhaps a hull reinforcement upgrade will help. I'd still imagine he'll ta…I didn't know you couldn't pick up items with the suit propulsion cannon. That's bogus; it should work the same as the hand-held one.
I second the issue with the delay picking up items with the claw arm. At first it felt kind of cool l…My best info says the Crabsnake eggs are rare but in stable (though this is only through other players posting "I totally found one"; 10x that many say "I looked in EVERY shroom and there are ZERO"), but the Reefback, Mesmer, and Shuttlebug eggs are…(Quote)
When I tested multiple storage upgrades... I found they do not stack. I got excited because of the built-in storage that comes with the unmodified PRAWN, and the fact that the first storage upgrade stacks with that, but they don't…(Quote)

I'm gratified every time I see a demonstration of how ungodly awful it is to try to get the Cyclops down into the ILZ or even the Lost River - it's all but impossible. Too many YouTubers just cut to the end of the trip. The Devs …
