The new schools look awesome. Their new swarming behavior is much more realistic and really beginning to look very pretty.
Their fear / light reaction is awesome too. I already added these concept's you guys are working on (light, vibration, f… -
Mucky could you elaborate on your statement? In case you bought the earliest access you should get a humble store e-mail which leads you to the humble page. From there just activate your key with Steam and eventually switch to the Experimental build…

Great to see that new refraction behavior! Awesome job. (it now angles correctly according to the sun position)

Added more content but still no go. Can I just assume no answer means it's fine? :P

The night feeling is a lot better in the most recent build! Great to see improvements.

The issue with making this a pure horror game is that I believe it takes away tons of fun.
I feel I already covered your point with the squid by "•Let some deep sea creatures ascend during the night.", however, it shouldn't be too brutal… -
Funny you mention the hull plate. Now that I think about it there wouldn't really be a single reason for this item if there wasn't any sort of multiplayer I guess.
As for the whole "single player" debate. Well, yes, in some games with po… -
It has one sun. The problem with more than one sun is it makes scenes look very flat and also is more taxing for occlusion. I doubt we'll see more than one sun.
That said I agree with the point of alien planets probably looking much dif… -
10 / 1 sounds harsh. The game Rust left fond memories to me and made it very interesting to have night.
I'd suggest half the timespan of day to be night and having a long sunset and sunrise period.

I'd say most average players would name them silly stuff since they can't think of anything at that moment.
Also it makes it hard to talk about and warn another player off a Stalker when you call it Jimmy.in [Suggestion] Custom creature names Comment by dottedfish November 2014

It's a neat idea! And it would affect the experience a lot. If it's not too much work I'd definately say please do try it.
One remark though: it'd have to "sync" with daytime / weather / depth. Otherwise it'd be odd to swim out of a cave… -
It would be amazing. All the artwork they provided (healing a "whale" e.g.) would be so amazing to be able to experience in co-op.
A number of my friends would instantly get this but... only if it really had multiplayer.

(Quote) I can only agree with this. It does not click with me that a colony ship crashes and you literally start from medieval age again in terms of food but everything else is rather high-tech.

Honestly I can't tell the difference - I thought god ray is just a synonym for sun ray or sunbeams etc.?
What I'm talking about is probably volumetric lighting / crepuscular rays. It appears that in SN this is realized using a shader whi… -
Yes, it's true that the angling is almost always top down. Also I'm really looking forward to the night time improvements. That's gonna be awesome for sure, especially with the illuminating fauna and flora.

What I really love is the dynamic shadows and the athmospheric colors. Especially in combination with the cloud layer.
Night is still barely noticable underwater though. It feels as if I am a swimming lightbulb.

Any ETA on the SteamEA? I'm kind of hoping it won't be torn to shreds by an unforgiving community like most of the other, eh, "experimental" early access titles.

Great to see that multiplayer and VR are still a goal! I have numerous friends who would jump on this game if it had multiplayer. Single player isn't that much of a kick for them though. I really hope you guys can pull this offWhile I believe you are right I also think that some of your arguments are already in the goal.
I do support one main point though - which is to not solve the biggest issues but actually analyze for and support an eventual solution.
Thanks for clarification
It is a little bit sad though since especially the earlier prototypes (sub controls) are AMAZ…(Quote)
This is really important - in fact if players had access to the big achievements they'd quickly lose interest in the game or rate it bad based on their experience.
Having backed Star Citizen I must say I'm really happy …Probably a bug indeed but at the same time it's such a neat "feature"
I vote for keeping (something like) it.
