It's lovely to see that you are keeping up work on one of NS2's best maps! -

That definitely makes sense once the wiki is more up to date. As it stands now however it might just confuse new players more than it helps them. -

Because CPU TM Function stands for CPU Thermal Management Function. I.e. the motherboard will signal to the CPU that the CPU package is above 100°C and that it should lower its clock speed in order to cool down. When I run P… -

As far as I can tell the Cite extension is needed for proper footnotes. Could you request that as well? -

Could you add the ability to disable auto-switch to new weapon (and equipment)? So e.g. if I'm reloading my shotgun while buying a welder it won't switch to the welder or when you have dropped the rifle so you can run quicker with your pistol out to…

I hope you haven't forgotten about this thread @xtcmen! In Pub there's a bit of "fan shroud" that's unnecessarily blocking the view of the vent beneath it. It would be nice…

(Quote) That was the first thing I tried and it's also on the top of the list of things I have done in this thread. I re-read the list though and realized the wording was a bit ambiguous so to clarify I now specifically mention Speedstep. (Turbo …

Hi there! Thanks for your suggestion. Unfortunately I have already tried that. I only remembered recently (I have tried so many things) so it only just got added to the list of stuff I have tried. -
(Quote) Personally I felt like the hitreg was more "off" than it usually is, at the very least compared to my server. It was only afterwards that I realized that it was most probably because of the latency difference. My teammates (some of whom a…

(Quote) Oh believe me, I did. (I double checked it with HWinfo64 and CPU-Z.) Would you like some photographic evidence?

(Quote) Yes indeed the performance impact from Speedstep doesn't seem to effect any servers except those running heavy SQL databases (from what I've read so far).
What do you mean by "didn't try hard enough"?

Hehe, that was a very calculated risk I took when trying to extract some more wisdom from the master. ^:)^ -
(Quote) Yes, not only have I convinced myself that the Yggdrasil server is the proud host of NS2's best hit registration. I have also managed to swindle persuade the other members of Ygg that this is a fact.* ;-)

You're not having trouble running an NS2 server under WS2012R2? Because I have hit a major roadblock that probably means that I will switch to a different OS. In short, the tick rate averages around 12 (on an empty server) despite … -
I'm not a big fan of the siege mod, but this is really cool!

Hey @herakl3s I just wanted to thank you for this marvellous guide and send off a wish that you one day will finish it!

Hmmm, I sent my copy of NS2.exe to virustotal.com and not a single AV gave a positive. Your PC might have had a virus that changed the code of NS2.exe, try uploading it to virustotal.com as well and then delete it and verify your game cache through …

Excellent. Thank you very much! This was just what I was looking for. So if I'm understanding this correctly the code I should add in the list of commands the moderators can run is:(Quote)
AFAIK "Enhance the application setting" shouldn't work with NS2 since this game is only using FXAA (which is a post-process AA).(Quote) Yes indeed. This works. Thank you all very much!
Edit: Follow-up question! Is it safe to give mods access to the command "sh_rcon speed" or will that also give them access to run "sh_rcon"?I have confirmed it's a bug, but I don't know if it's been internally corrected?(Quote)
That's actually pretty neat. I might do something like that as well.(Quote)
It's a part of NS2+. However, the server has to allow it (which it doesn't by default).
