Indeed. This is the only form of multiplayer that I can see working for Subnautica. -
I'd rather have more upgrades for the cyclops since, as its stands, its pretty much useless after you fix the aurora other than making it a mobile base. But even then it would be too expensive to upkeep to justify doing that.
-
All of my want. I've always thought it would be awesome to have a huge elevator that leads to a base that's super deep.

I don't agree that having a password for vehicles is a good idea. Quite frankly I think its a bad idea. I don't want to have to enter a password every time I want to use a vehicle. Not to mention, why would you even need a password in the first plac…

Most of your requests have been unreasonable from a development standpoint in the short term. There are creatures that have been "complete" but have yet to be implemented since 3 or 4 updates ago. To think that the rockpuncher coul… -

If only "remake how Subnautica saves" was as easy as it sounded. -
Umm.. the devs created the rockpuncher. Pretty sure they've already looked at it.

I've never been killed by any of these. One of the few times I've died is because I accidentally ran into one of those purple vine looking things in the kelp forest that sting you if you touch them.
-
Yeah sorry, this was discovered months ago.

In a future update creatures will begin to attack bases. You'll be able to ward them off with bright spotlights and possibly other defenses.

As Obraxis said, the new lighting effects are in experimental right now. Currently the new lighting is VERY buggy/glitchy, but I can tell its going to look amazing once its finished. -
I think they swim back to where they first spawned. The same thing happens to me when I release fish around my base, but when I spawn them they stay.
-
These kinds of features are coming in a future update. Fauna will try to attack our bases and we will be able to use spotlights and other defenses to ward them off.
-
It hasn't been implemented yet. Its not even fully complete. Plus I don't think something like the new lighting effects is something they can do in pieces. I'm with LordDerp, I think they're going to put it in all at once.
-
I think someone has tried it. From what I recall the cyclops can be lifted with the floaters, but it cannot be repaired, even if ascends higher than its crush depth.

2. Not that simple.
3. You two necroed a post over a year old. Mods will be in here soon to lock it up. -

In this thread. Look at the first comment by one of the devs on the second page.

The next patch after next he is referring to is the farming update. -
I feel like the devs have spoiled us with an update every month, and now that we haven't gotten one this month people a throwing a fit. The devs are not obligated to get an update out every month. Sure, its been amazing and the best experience I've …

If you were keeping up with the Trello board, then you would have seen that they have been working on the story for a long time and is close to completion (Its the implementation that will take a while). Also, this isn't really goi… -
You can use it as a mobile base/gigantic storage locker. That's what I do with it anyway.

This is a cool idea, but seeing as we already have the shocker eel and the spine eel I don't think we need another kind of eel.
-
Not necessarily. There are things that were in the "Done" section for the Seamoth update that we still don't have.

It was going to be Oct. 19th but it got delayed. At this point its finished when its finished. They haven't given another date for release, just that it will be done by the end of October. -
I don't know if the ecosystem is dying, but Subnautica was always going to be about you as a scientist surviving and then eventually having your actions affect the surrounding ecosystem. When the farming update drops, you will be able to find eggs, …

Because this is supposed to be an endgame biome, only accessible via a fully upgraded cyclops and exosuit. Also, this biome is still very much in development. -
I believe the writer stated either on a Reddit AMA or some other source (I can't remember), that the story would very much be in the background, and that you could choose to pursue it or just play the game as we do now. There won't be a separate mod…

type "kill" (no quotations) as a console command and it will warp you back to the lifepod.

The map is only 50%-60% complete from what I've read. We still have yet to see the Arctic, Inactive lava zone, Lost River, Twisty Bridges, etc. biomes. Not to mention the other side of the Aurora will eventually contain biomes instead of an empty vo…
