(Quote) I guess I have just as much time to kill as you, taking the time to write ALL these objections...

I captured an image of the current PDA and I overlayed everything else on it to show what it could be like

@SalmonJEDl thanks this makes a lot of sens.
Although at 300m depth, that'd be 30 atm, wow! serious stuff.
If the sub remains at 1atm, then you don't suffer… -
How about something like this for a science log inside the player's PDA? (repost from Story, Progress, Ecology and More)EDIT: Added 3 screen captures of possible PDA showing science and diary - see above(repost from bug reports)
I was traveling with the cyclop, when I encountered a big group of 6-7 rocks covered with floaters.
So I stop the cyclop as the rocks start banging on the hull, right?
Next thing I know the rocks seems to …@Bugzapper have you seen my suggestion about the story…(Quote)
Does it uses the same mechanics as I propose here? I was under the impression that nitrogen nacosis was something different than decompression.Agreed with the above. We need an improved battery with at least 2x to 3x power, and a way to recharge the cyclops without replacing batteries continuously.(Quote)
Why not?
One of the greatest sandbox ever created is "Star Control II" (probably the very first sandbox that inspired them all).
And in that game, the player is free to go to any star in any order he wants, gather mater…(Quote)
Some (perhaps like you?) might already dive and look for a game that makes it easier and more fun, and that's perfectly fair.
Some others like me don't / can't dive in real life (and never will) and enjoy the thrill and the c…(Quote)
Simple solution, it can be added as an option and you can just turn it off if you don't want to play with all the survival elements, just like the food/water element right now.it's been noted several times, it's not just you. The power module from Aurora is supposed to cut that in half at least... still it's quite crazy. Hopefully they will re-balance it, perhaps we could have a hydro generator to restore some of its powe…I absolutely LOVE this idea. Totally make sense too!I think your idea, of how the current life forms could be used for crafting or for components, or for cures (like the bleeders) is excellent.
It goes a bit in the same direction as my suggestion about the ecology of the planet and the science.…I don't know if the moon base will actally look like this, but it's the image also found in the Trello database under "To do", labelled "Moon pool rig"in Please, please! Add more facilities/modules! Comment by conscioussoul May 2015
Have you taken a look at the developer's Trello database? Here is what's coming real soon:

(Quote) There is so much potential with this idea. Maybe the reefback (or whatever sentient creature you find) can ally against a major threat in the ocean and help each other?
(Quote) I see it as a major feature (although minor in terms of difficulty or development impact) because it's what makes the whole "sandox" experience linked together as a proper story. Which is the MAJOR problem with sandboxes.Fixed in latest experimental build. Yay!!!Can't you just push your pod away from the radiated area? Especially now that you have the current generator, it's easy...Or swim under Aurora to stick floaters on it's under hull, until you reach critical mass and the Aurora becomes an island fully above water, ready for real repairs?Same here. Cylops will totally freeze my computer after about 15-20 sec of driving it in experimental, to the point I can't even do a control-alt-delete. Have to physically reset the computer. Nasty one this one.And one more thought: if we are going to dig large surface of sand, how about using the current generator to do so, or another tool like it?We can already dig the sand out to make holes or to uncover things. Would be very cool if some areas are alien ruins to discover, but would be all buried in the sand and require you to dig them out...(Quote) Yes! See my big post on ecology and sentient life, and let me know what you think.I think it is awesome, for once, to have a game that I can play with my kids and that are all about discovery and wonder (even in dangerous situations) rather than the urge to kill and control everything. I don't mind the knife, and I really hope w…Better yet, maybe your tracker or dart gun requires darts from the spikey plants to operate?(Quote) Oh! This is an awesome idea!!!
