Having to exit the game after dying in hardcore isn't a bug; it is just that the 'Exit to Menu' option hasn't been implemented in any game modes yet.

It is not a bug; the Dev's are making all construction options require you have at least 1 material before it shows for the first time. After that it should persist.

1) Is the CPU adequately cooled? Those 9370s are notorious for overheating like crazy.
2) Latest driver for GPU?
3) Hard Drive/SSD almost full? Keeping it full to the brim can sometimes cause weird freezing/lock ups.
