I've always been a fan of these.

Here I was, going to ask if the BUS was coming in Dev-Chat last night, but didn't think anyone would remember...

Pretty sure I've spent nearly that amount of time in the editor, and I still don't have a map to show for it.

Heh. I wrote about this one internally a long time ago. I called it 'Pact'. I've always been a black mana Planeswalker at heart.

As @Mephilles said on Discord, quick rotation time through Plaza was something that has proved difficult for aliens to combat. More testing is definitely required, thoug…

Definitely like the changes. Lots of good reworking of areas, and perf is much, much better.

Damn. That's real good.

This is not the inspiration I need right now to return to mapping, @pSyk0mAn. I need time off, damnit!
Looks pretty cool. -
If anyone was curious about NS2 in VR with the Rift, I managed to get my Oculus DK1 using Tri-Def software to play it. I streamed it and posted it on Youtube in another thread, but as it's a more or less terrible video that gives the VR experience n…

Yep. Nothing weird or out of the ordinary. I figured that the issue could arise with a character which wasn't the standard characterset with NS2, such as something like Hiragana or Thai. Unfortunately, my guess seems to be wrong. We'll continue to l…

A link to the account would probably be fine for now. It's a super odd issue that nobody has seen before, though it seems more a Steam related one than NS2 related.

This is a curious thing. If it was relegated to just your computer, I'd say it's likely an anti-virus doing some shenanigans and quarantining/locking important Steam libraries. This seems much different, though. Just to verify, you… -
A little worried about the stairs and ramps. Verticality can be good, but the issue with that is that you're creating bottlenecks that strongly hurt alien players attempting to walljump.

Nice job, Mal. Looking better than ever. Reminds me of Unreal maps.

Hey guys, another post with a surprise!
In-Game rewards, thanks to UWE! And a new way for people looking to play in Season 10 to find teams. -

Yeah, I can tell. It's not a bad call, and it's unique in a map. Nexus did that for Aliens after some iterative testing. It seemed to work while Staging was still a terrible RT. Now that it's better, the RT was moved further away, though.
Just added some cover to Drill Access and fixed CommanderInvisible throughout the map. Should be a lot better for commanders!(Quote)
Surprisingly the layout works out alright (read: not completely fair). It's impressive. I don't need the RMFs, and I do already have the graybox. There's a few major issues thus far:- Cave is incredibly powerful, especi…
Map has been playing a lot better, which is good.
Need the curved halls in reactor to have slightly higher ceilings (150%), and Hamasaki pathways to have been widened a bit on the sides. Still not totally sure about Glass Hallway or AE-3…Ugh that train is so ugly pls fix.
If you're looking for ideas on re-themeing since the change to "mesh", I'm always here to help, man. We can brainstorm all day.(Quote)
Be careful what you don't wish for. Maybe I'll just poop out like forty half finished maps.(Quote)
C&C Generals had a pack play element for multiple Chinese troops near one another. It gave them a change in rate of fire, I think. Maybe health. Not saying those are the answers, but I always liked that mechanic.
Th…I wrote a python script that does all this for you, although very rudimentary. I wanted to make a GUI version that automatically fills things out based on naming conventions and folder setup, including correct shaders, but I haven't had the time.

Well, the engine has gotten better since launch undoubtedly, but it still struggles considerably with speed compared to a lot of other engines. A lot of this is due to Lua, and how everything is tied to it. It's slow. Incredibly sl…(Quote)
I don't really like the cloak idea, but I think it'd be better if they were partially transparent, harder to see.
