Did you fix the escape pod? because it will now float away If it's not fixed because of the "gravity anchors" being offline but the screen does shake when you go out of the game boundaries and the water might have not been textured.

It could lead to the deep Grand Reef or the inactive lava zone But I believe the deep Grand reef and the lava zone are already implemented So I'm not sure maybe you're just not allowed in.

It could have swam over to the nearest kelp forest but I'm not too sure because normally when you let out an animal from your tank It just swims around your base but it's always a possibility.
