The crashes seem to use powerful hydraulic shock to harm/kill victims. I'd Imagine the exosuit would be immune to such effects at shallow depths.

I'm digging a tunnel under to the Auroa. Bypass the BS entirely.

What about mining volcanic glass that continues to pour out of volcanic vents? The largest classification of the stuff is felsic. Felsic is what Quartz forms from. It's like going directly to the crystal source, and would be a late game item - once …

The game is going to have five more terrors of the deep, excluding the giant eel and crab. Don't worry, there will be more than enough monstrous creatures.
That depends upon how long each chunk lasts. Uranium should be comparable to thermal, but with a slightly higher output considering it's nonrenewable.(Quote)
Uranium is a fairly common element that can be found just about anywhere on Earth. Is much, much more common than silver and gold combined. For balance purposes it might be more difficult to come by... just like diamonds.

Radiation does not create uranium.
Perhaps just one suit that affords protection?Jelly Shroom Caves, nuff said.(Quote) Seeing as that part of the open ocean is probably devoid, or simply too deep to reach the bottom of, how about this?
Players can eventually get a larger sub that can take them beyond the strong currents. I imagine since the cu…(Quote) I dunno. I personally have never found diamonds myself. I know that a major loot update is on the horizon, so that might fix the problem.Diamond is found in basalt. Here's a wiki page all about it.(Quote) Or simply pressure from the ocean waters.
(Quote) How about extremely strong oceanic currents? A planet totally covered in water would be capable of producing mega-currents and rough seas unlike anything on Earth. Subnautica doesn't need to rip off used and frankly unreasonable antics to…(Quote) The Cyclops cannot generate power, but bases can. Power is needed for processing raw materials in bulk; and researching fragments and DNA. In the future, bases may be able to repair the Cyclops and Moonpools might be used to upgrade the S…(Quote)
Floodlights will be implemented, but I don't know if they will have a dimmer. I assume not. Players will be able to turn them on and off.Not my base, but a base I found in the feedback tickets.
I feel the developers have a theme in mind where the player is an ancient alien. I'm still unsure that a sentient species would fit well into this game... besides the fact it's far too difficult to produce. Certainly, fully sentient creatures are no…I'm not against base defenses. I just think there needs to be a reasonable justification for them.
Here are some plausible reasons:- Base defenses enable the player to maintain a safety perimeter, so that they can tend to energy g…

Sharks have been known to bite metal objects under water, but there have never been any instance of them biting submersibles, submerged habitats, or ROVs. Unless the fish farms are open to the environment, and are not part of the b…Think of it like this:
The regular ladder connects sections - it automatically includes an annular space and connector tube.
The vertical tube is like an extended ladder. It spans one whole section length.I guess it really all depends on the game's story.Perhaps you're just on top of a massive volcanic dike and the rest is open ocean like it is now?Multiplayer might not even happen, so I wouldn't crap myself over it. Besides, there is always single player.Animals on Earth don't attack submerged habitats - they sometimes however attack vessels (only moving objects). The threat should be more passive like biofouling. It doesn't make any sense to have the player's base attacked, sorry it just doesn't.Creature saddles, especially for the Reefback!Try this thread.(Quote)
I think most non-retards could have inferred that.
Still, 10/10 for a name.
