another option would be to simply give you an option. like, a checkbox for "underwater color grading" or something. like how many games have optional film grain. i personally always turn that stuff off - cuz i heavily prefer interactive immersion ov…

hmm this is kind of complicated to explain, but basically some members of the team work on a "replication" of our repo, so their numbers do not increment with ours. it's perfectly normal.
-
we are definitely not making a realistic simulation. we want pretty colors.

eh OK i'm not sure what afterburner is. i would suggest seeing how other games - if a lot of other games tend to crash as well, then it's not SN-specific, so we can't do much.

Ok does this happen all the time or was it a one time thing?
-
hm that's really weird. trying now.
-
Hmm can you post Subnautica_Data/output_log.txt?
-
Or, are you running Avast? I know it will delete the executable so you need to make exception list. http://steamcommunity.com/app/264710/discussions/0/62…

thanks for the report! probably out of memory.

Yeah man we totally enjoy your videos

fixed!

hmm this is a neat idea. technically, we could only let you look "into" one camera at a time, and there would be a bit of transition time. do-able though..will toss the idea to the team!

definitely something we'd like to do! it's currently kinda low priority though, as our engineering team has PLLEEEENNNTY else on their plate
maybe....maybe. definitely something we'd like to tryThanks! This doesn't ring any bells..but hopefully it doesn't happen too often?posting the last 100 lines of the output log right now would be most helpful.(Quote) i think our new gameplay programmer, Slava, deserves a mention for the tool tips.
save games will probably be coming in the next month or two. definitely a top priority.(Quote)
Aww man I thoroughly enjoyed watching this video. The team has been working hard on a lot of stuff, and it's great to see it all come together in your play through!actually, the experimental branch is updated automatically. so if it doesn't update, something went wrong
hm actually something went wrong with the build..thanks for the headsup!Eh please don't assume we'll ever get to do it. Hopefully we will, but no promises.yeah i think we're 100% cool with it :PSo you're suggesting the artists place a light at every cave entrance that only turns on when everything darkens? That could be a neat look, but it'd only light the immediate entrance (so looking out of the cave, off into the distance, would still b…there is some art tweaking needed to get caustics showing up better. that is technically working.
If your brother knows of a simple way to deal with cave lighting, unity or otherwise, he can have my jobin Shadows and what I hope to see in the future Comment by SteveRock November 2014
although this is actually already happening with the default unity LOD system, where the last level is just not drawn, so I think I just need to re-tweak those numbers and see if that helps.yeah we will likely do something like that. it just gets tricky if props actually matter for gameplay, and are not purely visual. one of our goals is to make most props actually matter.that log is definitely a bit nuts...let me know if this happens regularlyi think it's currently just based on how much you're carrying. although having weight is interesting..so if you carry beyond a certain weight, you lose buoyancy control!
