Unless this recently changed, the Prawns lights don't use any of the power cells energy (similar to the Cyclops lights being energy free.)
I've left mine parked next to my sea base for days at a stretch between mining e… -

I just wanted to point out real quick, that if you use the reinforced dive suit your temp tolerance increases to around 70C before you start taking damage, letting you safely swim around outside the Prawn suit. (Which is pretty ess… -

I've ran into that one too in the cyclops, and found out it's not actually vanished, it's just relocated.
If you walk to the front of the cyclops and open the pda while looking out the window you'll see a huge hand lift… -

Now go to the vehicle creation module and craft a cyclops and seamoth without needing any materials, this should give you working transportation withou… -

A current work around is to use the builder tool and craft a single piece of vertical base tubing right next to the wreck for a couple titanium. It's not perfect, but does let you easily mark wrecks you've cleared.

I agree it's especially handy, and makes it a lot easier to read new PDA entries without having to hunt through the ever growing list and try to spot the newest one.

It seems to happen regularly with my save, but I still haven't figured out the cause of it yet or if it happens with a new game.

I've found this often occurs if you build the base underneath the escape pod, if you build it a distance off (50m+) then this doesn't seem to occur.
I think when the save/cell loads it detects the base in the same location of the escape … -
I've seen this bug on multiple wrecks as well, (most recently the large wreck in the mountains biome, I was scanning 2-3 still suit fragments in the same location.)
The doors resealing themselves and pda's respawning I've had happen over… -
I'd love some kind of in game map option to more easily gauge your location relative the rest of the world, (and so you can add map markers for crashes, poi's etc, since dumping beacons everywhere winds up making the world a cluttered mess.)

They seem to be a "these are recently added to your inventory" notifications, they also appear for data entries when you scan new flora & fauna and acquire new blueprints.

Much appreciated, the really should include a link to that somewhere in the games pause menu for those who don't know of it's existence.

Thanks, much appreciated!

Been almost two months since I asked this, and I really don't feel like reinstalling the game just to find out only to uninstall it if the ability to rebind keys isn't there.
So, does anyone know if it's possible yet? (and if not, can I … -

Depending on the efficiency of the replicator, you could also break down sea water into oxygen and hydrogen which then could be burned as a cheap fuel source for the ship. (Granted this violates the laws of physics being able to burn the components …

This would solve the issue nicely, and let those who are interested in it, rename things to their liking and still have an reference default name for players to wiki and use in forum discussions.

Letting us connect the air tubes to the ship would also work just as well I think until such time as they implement some kind of hose system.

As a female gamer I certainly do enjoy seeing the option to play as a female in most games where it makes a noticeable difference such as rpg's (Skyrim, Fallout NV, Mass Effect etc,) or in multiplayer games where I'll be interacting with one or mor…

Glad to see this got sorted so quickly and that no permanent damage was done.

Thanks, roughly how many floaters does it take to lift the flooded ship?

I think the point of it is a limited (8000ish) number of special hull plates, and that's it for it right? (it's barely woth an extra $10 for an upgrade, but I really don't see it special enough to justify buying the game all over again.

What's the name/location of the config file? I did some hunting in my Subnautica install directory but couldn't locate it.

I think they nerfed its availability in a recent update for some reason.
Hopefully they allow us to craft a salt extractor at some point so we don't have to hunt for it. (really all we need to do it evaporate sea water and we can get sal… -
Wouldn't it be possible to simply sell the hull plate upgrade separately on your website for a lesser amount than full game + hull plate?
This way those of us who already own a steam copy can still get the hull plate without having to pa… -
