Is the sever side trajectory responsible for the dodgy grenade physics? I see them do stupid things like glide along the floor.

Agree that it was a spam role, however it could have been made in to something other than that. Perhaps more like the TF2 demoman's loch and load but with slightly more splash, and with projectiles moving slower in more of an arc.

By all means reduce grenade splash damage, but removing detonation on impact? Why? Removes the reward for aiming and instead makes it in to purely a spam role.

I prefer phantom for the silence it gives skulks. But lerk/fade I prefer aura as it makes it easy to avoid entering an ambush and also makes for easy pickings when you target those with low health.

A long time ago there was a thread (or several) about good old marine turtle mode.
My suggestion was that the alien side could unlock some kind of turtle breaking ability when (and only when) they have mature hives at every tech point ba… -

My impressions after playing a few hours this weekend, thumbs up so far.
The skulk movement is great. It's fixed my biggest gripe since 240.
Only had a small go at fade, certainly a lot of relearning to do there.
A random survey of some steam friends that have abandoned NS2 revealed that most left due to teams always being uneven, and, being on the losing team in a one sided match is the most frustrating gaming experience out there.
I personally …I just tried the latest patch. It felt quite a bit smoother than I remember. No horrible slowdown when attacking an exo.

Ah Australia, well there's your problem.
I sank a few hundred hours in to ns2 over summer but lost interest just after gorgeous came out. A leading factor in why I haven't come back to NS2 was the lack of servers to ch…I gave up waiting, haven't played for a couple of weeks now. (ok ok the skulk problem isn't why I haven't played, uni work is the real reason)
Nevertheless I'm not really missing the brick skulks.

Except if I am walking along with my glorious weapon of ultimate destruction and fire power (a shotgun) I do not wish to automatically swap it for a suicide machine (grenade launcher) or anything else for that matter.Why not a pick up / swap weapon key that prevents you accidentally dropping your AR when you miss the pick up of a welder. The mind boggles at the suggestions of nerfing marine movement. It was skulk acceleration that was most recently broken, the way to repair it is to repair the skulk movement, not break the marine!

Pretty much this. Learnt my lesson with that crap. Never buying a grind/pay to unlock game ever again.
Also, unlocks, achievements, rankings, stats, matchmaking and all other game ruining mechanics can stay the F away f…I think wall jumping needs to be restored as does ground acceleration.
