Plasma net gun would be awesome, speargun/harpoon would be definitely a plus. But you know what sucks about the dialog. Is that those in power would probably actually do that stuff. -
Instead of warp travel. I would rather beacons as fast travel points. So it is not warp but it would at least cut down on travel when just trying to go back to other points of interest and time would pass so it wouldn't be like warp.

Did you ever check out the concept art for the cyclops and submersibles? The devs have a lot of concept art out there.
