Wasn't a "follow" command implemented to the MACs (for the commander) just recently? If so, then just tell your comm to give you a MAC or 2.

Not sure about the hive shooting stuff, but this sounds similar to the biomass system in the balance test mod (which I hope gets added). -
Interesting mod idea, but not worth the dev time imho. Too major of a change.

TBH, as long as they keep their hidden timer, I won't use them. It goes against what UWE has said they want in their game to have a hidden timer.

I'd love to play some more of the BT mod, but I just can't get used to sliding all over the place by just barely brushing a movement key as a skulk. TBH, imho, the skulk movement is even worse than atm because it's impossible for accurate movement.

Part of the trade-off of being instantly teleported to wherever is that the more gates you build, the longer it takes to get to the end.
The trade-off with gorge tunnels is that it's not instantaneous travel. -

Not really, a marine can get through a tunnel and only lose 10 armor (2 ticks) by sprinting with a rifle. Obviously less damage if you switch to your axe.
