Dealing with internal air pressure would increase tenfold the features and add decompression time almost everywhere. It may encourage a player to stay at the same pressure as much as possible to not have to deal with it, but the co… -
What I most remember is REAPER pawning in area they shouldn't have.
No opinion on the rest, I do like having fish respawning but not too fast so you know you have a (harsh) impact on this world. -
The current mechanic do feel like a placeholder but only because the balance is way too lenient and it scream at having O² generator as a base component.
I don't think it would work well to have individual depth rating.

Let's bump it with a -not so subtle- take that!

I've spent 5 minutes trying to understand what "shovel knight" had pertaining to this topic. it look an uninspired 2D game.

Just saying since the topic isn't clear on this : to me "weather" imply more "current" than actual weather, because a storm on the surface is barely going to affect a 100m deep base, even less over 200m. Creating weather-like strong currents however…

I don't think anybody right in their mind consider it a big deal. Same goes with NOT HAVING a female protagonist by the way.
It does improve how the public can -sometime only- relate to the experience, but it doesn't mean not… -
Subnautica should rebrand itself as "Cybernautica" and make it so everything you do is actually a conceptualized "dive" into an unreal "reality" with a dive-overlay, rather than an actual dive on other planet. This would justify any unrealistic aspe…

Sure, I'm just saying that to reflect properly the change, this suggestion would replace (normal) "Survival/Story mode" while the previous (current) balance might has well be renamed "hardcore with less features" mode.

Don't mind me, just wanted to remind everybody to lobby the devs for an upgrade-module that give a storage compartment accessible both from the inside and the outside (along by a PRAWN with arms).

I should be happy that my suggestion can be TESTED as a game-mode. But if you have read the Topic's first message, this isn't a question of difficulty. We are losing a lot of potential in amazing features, game-mechanic and immersion simply because …

Well played, let me try to top that.
Let's rework Subnautica so it is a nonlinear perfection and so you can fight the Sea Emperor Leviathan and finish the game within 10 minutes if you have skills. To achieve that… -
Answer to "The08MetroidMan" Minimalist Art EditionI'm avoiding quote because I expected this to digress into a quote hell.
Quote are a dangerous tools, if you can't recognize your own argumentation in someone's answer, or…I'll try to avoid the quote fest.
The core source of disagreement (how Subnautica should address how and what order we have fun) is subjective and do not have any strict Yes/No basis.

While I'll keep thinking we need more slots, this idea would:
- lessen the previous problem
- add more use for the modification modules (permanent upgrade)
- thereby open the possibility of game-Gating depth upgra…(Quote)
As said, even assuming Subnautica had a strict key orders to access some zone it is still OPEN-WORLD, let's not forget it is also a SANDBOX btw as you can build in it, and if that wasn't enough, it is seamless.
I look and loo…Next to convince them to give 6 modules for the Seamoth, probably harder because there's less place, but it's just as necessary.Ark did it at the price of any complex physics or AI behaviors (beyond a certain range they are frozen). It doesn't help the project is built on UNREAL ENGINE 4 which never shined with physics. We all now this chart don't represent the people who actually BUY games.
As as it is, our society have indoctrinated girls since their infancy to consider they 'should' be doing social stuff instead of 'dangerous stuff' and the like.
So …Just saying, Subnautica could have gone us without ever knowing the players gender. Only trying to guess it from the hands.
While the game lose nothing from this idea, it doesn't bring any "ethic-point". It is in fact only a developers choices…I take no responsibility with this Fred, this idea is downright hardcore compared to mine due to the fines details th…(Quote)
