My example is Titanfall, £50 base game + £20 DLC - Ive hardly played it. Bought NS2 before a line of code had been written, £35 - played it more than any other game since the Alpha.
I wonder how many people still play Titanfall on a regu… -
With the right marketing NS2:Combat should work, It is a fun game. I bought it for me and my friends and we had a brilliant time playing, it was easy to drop in and out of due to a great XP boost system.
I've suggested it many times, NS2… -
NS2 could have three teams, Alien, Marine and Forum Dwellers.... large scale maps and vehicles. I want to see a gorge riding an Ono's into battle!
In all seriousness if I was UWE I would make a FPS DoTA/NS2 hybrid. F2P with skins/heroes … -
The yearly CoD seems to have broken peoples brain and they expect a new iteration out every year or so. I can't see NS3 happening any time in the next 5 years.
Back to OP, I guess if you came up with some epic proof UWE would give it a l… -
Custom maps are fine, just takes time to learn them and for a commander to come up with new tactics. Also custom maps don't have the hundreds of hours of play testing, just look how long the classics had to develop. Tram is nothing like its first in…

Ok, so lets trial this.. drop a good patch, make the game F2P for two weeks or a whole Month, see what after sales and player retention is like. Let the community servers lock out people with less than 12hr under their belt so the grumpy old men can…

Giving my money to two complete strangers based on a YouTube video of infestation then not hearing anything for years until an email showed up for the Alpha test. Shooting those cardboard men I smiled that my investment was well placed. :x

Has this thread discussed the problem with getting commanders yet? :P

Achievement grinds - Kill 300 gorges, Kill 20 fade's with a welder... or long term "rewards" like battlefields packs or weapon upgrades seem to keep people coming back for more.

We always gain players in the sales, veteran's should play nice and educate the new players and not be afraid of green names.
Once you know the game and you play with chatty people it is as addictive as crack! (so in How to get lots of new and old players Comment by MuckyMcFly March 2015 -
I certainly didn't mean it in any horrible way, I actually want to play the game and I'm sorry if you are offended.

Since release balance has never been an issue, there's always one thing that will swing a game around or lead to a crushing defeat. That's what makes NS2 the jewel that it is, please don't change it. x

I'm sure they get points for spiking but a point for actually detonating a mine... erm.... :-?

It doesn't happen that often but its always been part of the game and for the most part if a rush is thwarted its a pain to come back from so can be risky.

Its a buff the aliens don't need. What next passive marine damage buff on number of chairs? )

Look like Regen is working as intended to be honest. :-?

I thought that functionality already existed.

I'm sure they are still playing with the Spark Engine since they are working on Future Perfect (http://store.steampowered.com/app/282370/).
