Hmmm, I remember I had Morrowind dreams back when it was released. Heck, I remember every rock and every mushroom on this island.
How old are you? I just wonder does it depends on age or on something else. -
Given enough effort pirated copy of anything is indistinguishable from original.
You load the game with VS attached and then use either IDA or dig through raw disassembly.
It is simply impossible to prevent people from doing that.

Oh yes, and speaking of the Rock Puncher, modifiable terrain can be implemented as well.
Rock Puncher was removed together with terraformer tool because of engine limitations. I'm not sure that you would be able to implement this feature effec… -
(Quote) Huh?
Unreal renderer is lightyears ahead of unity.
As for gameplay logic and other stuff, it should be written in C++: even on unity website advertised performance is 2 times lower than native C++ code. -
Better engine. Unity is not good; leave it for mobile, start-ups and amateurs.
Unreal Engine is better in every way. -
PETA stands for People Eating Tasty Animals?
I would attack Subnautica if I were them.
Where is my Reaper steak?
Why I can't bake Stalker? -
(Quote) new X-COMs have "second wave" options - dozen or so gamplay modifications that you can turn on after your first play through. They make game harder (e.g. flanking gives 100% crit chance instead of 50%, soldiers starter stats are randomize…

Small example:
I find Dark Souls 3 an easy game. I can kill most of the bosses on the first try. Dark Souls should be much harder, and noobs who are struggling with the game should git gud.
Do you find this logic valid?

(Quote) Sure, devs needs to fix bugs and tweak balance first.
As a Software Engineer and former game developer myself I know how unfinished product looks. Current state of Subnautica is playable for me, but not okay for 90% of potenti… -
(Quote) Yes, stuff like that but related to environment not to Aurora.
And unique.
It could be shells, it could pearls, it could be gems, it could be skulls (heck I remember we were collecting skulls in Morrowind... even though … -

(Quote) I wanted to say that my opinion was already written at that thread. However, I can summarize:
1. Construction time is terribly annoying and irritating thing. It makes game unplayable;
2. Construction time breaks immersio… -
I saw video from youtuber Muselk.
Concept, environment and how cool and futuristic fabricator looked (before it was broken by devs) were the things that caught me -

Maybe its just me but I feel I have very limited FoV while driving this thing... thus I've named it after blinded cyclop -
Or make a device that will transmute used nuclear fuel in some useful non-radioactive metals. Like we were supposed to do with used nuclear fuel IRL, before anti-nuclear movement existed.

raven0ak (Quote) You have written some senseless lunacy, and it was explained why it is so many times in this thread. I recommend you re-reading it.

(Quote) How long construction time improves gamer experience? How it makes game better?

Wrong.
The reason why people are complaining is because this change ruins the game as is.
I couldn't care less about opinion of some random people over the internet, however I do care about the state of the game Subnautica I play.<… -

(Quote) I usually spend several hours on cooking food every weekend.
I'm quite a good a cook and I love good food.
So, when you are cooking something you almost never have to wait for some process to finish, because when something is … -
(Quote) If I'm making something - I need it. I need it now. That's why I've returned to my base in the first place. It already took time to return from wherever I was exploring. I already spend a lot of time collecting raw resources. I want my re…

(Quote) During week-end I usually play StarCraft 2 where big battles take few seconds of time.
I also play Team Fortress 2 where every second counts. Those ~5 seconds during construction of the sentry seems like eternity=)

Bad idea. I don't have much free time, so wasting them while nothing happens is bad.
Logically, given that people in Subnautica world have FTL travel and FTL communication manipulation with time should be trivial, thus fabricator should … -
(Quote) Yes, for example Morrowind feels pretty big when you play it. But its smoke and mirrors (may be not intentional though): if you play mod to Oblivion that imports Morrowind island into it you can clearly see how close everything is, and th…

(Quote) I guess that depends on what games you are used to play=)
For example I had no immersion problems when I played Dark Souls 3)

Fabricator can be explained relatively easily.
a) It's a beam 3d printer;
b) we can see things floating, thus in this universe some sort of control over gravity is achieved (also its obvious because of superluminal travel) thus some sort… -
3-d person camera won't solve the problem:
In every 3-d person games every object is made twice as big as it is in real life relative to the size of the human. That is because the camera is above the head of a human character, and normal-sized…
