Yep, that's what I was going for. -
Until it path-finds itself through an electric eel, or drooping stinger, or Crash, or a Reaper, or just impact itself to death on the terrain. Then you're effed. It's all fun and games until you're stuck 300 meters down and without a rideThey totally need to have Cyclops-installable versions of the new indoor nuclear and bio reactors.
.....How late to the party am I on that idea?in We're going to be getting our resources' worth out of the Battery Charger... Comment by MrRoarke June 2016
Yeah, that violates some law, doesn't it? Law of conservation of energy? Law of Thermodynamics? What's the one that says every conversion of energy is a loss-equation because you lose some energy to heat? You shouldn't even get a 1-to-1 siphon of po…Thourough.EverReddy is correct. I use signs above my large lockers to keep track of what I've got stored where.Nicely done. I've found that a nice, energy-free way of lighting your seabase surroundings is to plant creepvines in intervals around it. That way, all night you get a nice warm glow.Koosh zone because it's the most "alien," I guess, and those zapper eels are real scary. However, now that I've run smack into a crab squid, I'm much more apprehensive of heading to the Deep Grand Reef.I've kindof felt like it was proximity-based. I'd have to test it out, but it seems like the closest energy source is used first. A bioreactor set right on your foundation would be used before solar panels on the reef beside your base, before a ther…So I traced a potential source of my bug: One of my Seamoth storage modules is the problem.
Whenever my seamoths would succumb to this bug, I'd pull all the upgrade modules out of it before I'd kill it. I'd build a new Seamoth and instal…That's a very well-thought-out idea. I like it. How long are you thinking for the up/down cycle to take? I imagine this should consume base energy, too.Aren't they working on a docking interface for the Cyclops? I'm imagining a section of base hallway with a docking collar on the end of it, like in the big starbases in Star Trek. Or a big robot arm like the International Space Station uses to grab …What about the possibility that, like in real life, some of the air pockets were "bad" air, and damaged your health or something?Ooh! What about an escape hatch or two for the Cyclops? The exterior model seems to have them already.
I've managed to get the Cyclops so out of plane before that I couldn't get around inside, or get out. I got glitched into solid rock o…You could tether it and tow it with the Seamoth. That'd be pretty cool. Or, I agree with canabalizing it for parts. Those (solar?) regenerating power cells would be real nice to steal and put in the Seamoth.
I like Modi's idea too. They'…The Cyclops is too slow maneuvering, I think, to employ offensive/defensive torpedoes without a targeting/homing ability. I think the Cyclops is better suited to a perimeter defense system like the Seamoth has, or a large stasis field generator, as …(Quote)
Getting to the right spot is as simple as leaving a beacon on top of your base, and with the new keel camera, it should be even simpler.
It is true that the overhead cover of some biomes would preclude the use of a teth…I've had the same problem...posted my issue in the "Seamoth + Cyclops = 1 FPS" thread. For me, a good Seamoth only lasts for the play session that I build it. After I come back, the Seamoth is bugged. Every time.
@ Viscerus: How long hav…I discovered this bug totally by accident, and I loved it. Tried placing the ghost image of the moonpool early to see how it would align to the rest of my base, figuring I'd come back and complete it when I had the resources. Came back later, hit E …@ iffer: Glad to help. Back before Seamoths exploded but just became unusable at 0% health, I had lost 6 or so to the Reaper. I pushed them all back to a hollow mountain I'd built with the terraformer to park my Cyclops under, and used them exactly …I have a Seamoth-related FPS issue. When I build a new Seamoth, it works fine for that play session. After saving/closing/reloading the game, the Seamoth induces an FPS drop.
What I mean is this: Whenever the Seamoth moves, the frame rat…
