It's pretty easy to counter them as lerks. Even if you only have spikes, it slows them down to get their armor healed. If you have spores, then it's even easier. They can't even really damage you at range unless they have a LMG.
-
if a marine buys a shotgun you can spend the same amount of res and go lerk and he is pretty much helpless while you spike him

It's better to look at it as a % of time you deal 90 damage to a skulk and die
It actually happens to me quite a bit
One way to think about the two:
If you have armor1 and you survive with less than 40 healt… -
if the onos tier didn't have a limit I bet they still wouldn't have sold 10 of them

Rifle bash is the one that is completely useless. I axe skulks all the time, mostly because I think it's funny. But if I empty my LMG I will always switch to my pistol next, and when I empty that I can either switch to my axe or switch to rifle ba…

Just give us our fades back and I'll be happy
No reason to save for fade instead of going lerk anymore -
This is my favorite build order, by far:
0:00 Upgrade shift hive, build shift & drifter next to harvester in 1st hive, cyst to the 4 closest resource points, build 2nd drifter in 2nd hive location
0:00-2:00 Echo harvesters to 5… -
The aliens now don't have any way to see what's happening around the map anymore. The drifters used to be cheap and they would cloak, but now I feel like they have developed into such a strange place in the game. Ultra expensive, fragile alien bui…

You can't have single player/coop AND NS2. They could either leave NS2 for dead and develop single player for a few years, or keep incrementally adding to the multiplayer.
-
we will all be calling for a nerf soon, I think
-
It's too clunky right now. It definitely needs adjustment because it's not very fun to use.
-
I've always thought this was a intuitive game quirk that should really be fixed. Same with building a power node to 99%.
-
It's crazy to me, a lot of people here played 500+ hours, and they wonder why player counts are going down. How can you expect more out of a game? What can be done to retain players who have already logged that much time? NS2 isn't permanent and …

2.5x peak playercount due to sale

2 things
-A major issue is that this is clearly killing other servers because it works even though no one wants it. I don't want to play on these servers but lately there are times when they are the only servers available with decent pi… -

Yes those are the things keeping the game from being a 10/10, they aren't really fundamental flaws
-
There isn't any fundamental flaw, there are a few issues that keep the game from being a 10/10, but the real issue is just that player counts just drop for pretty much any game over a long enough time period
-
need to hold that crouch key as fade, especially on veil
-
if you practice for a bit I'm sure you can get the new movement down pretty quick. It's the easiest movement to master IMO if you compare NS2 249 to NS1 to NS2 250 because you don't really need good timing, just hold down space in between jumps.
-
I noticed with the new movement, I don't care much for celery. I think it's easily the weakest of the 3 right now.
-
Shade usually but not on 4 tech maps(which are dumb, by the way)
-
I hate the new aliens so much. The fact that you have to pay for skulk upgrades is dumb. It really changes things and once you get low on res you never earn it back. I hate the new skulk. He doesn't understand gravity and just keeps banging his …

The game is being held back by a lack of tracking features and reward system... these days people stay in games when they can rank up and check their W/L stats in the lobby, etc. Not in game rewards, the lack of a global leaderboard is pretty glari…

They have to start balancing for 24 player servers. I wish everyone would just play 18 but now I can't find any servers that aren't 22+ anymore. Sometimes a 20 player server opens up.
-
The game feels pretty even to me as an average pubber. I wish they would focus on balancing all the useless tech in the game like flamethrowers, GLs, regen, adrenaline, camo, mac EMP, the robo factory in general (besides arcs), hallucinations.
-
concede has been my favorite feature they've added since release
I don't think some people realize how much it saves servers from emptying after long, boring games -
F2P is kind of worthless in NS2 anyways. People that don't invest money typically lose interest pretty quick when they can't kill anybody or figure things out and never return. They never get past that 5-8 hour learning curve stage to the point wh…
-
they would be empty 100% of the time
-
I got to play it once and it crashed the server on map change. It was fun until that point and I would play it again.

can someone give me keybinds to set a different sensitivity and FOV and j1/j2?
