No it's not the only but it's one of the better solutions. Doesn't the current hardcore mode only have 1 life, if the game is a masterpiece it will always challenge the player even without hardcore mode, the difference is hardcore … -

OK, so saying game is too easy, when the game is in pre-alpha stages is like saying a door is useless because it doesn't swing, when it hasn't yet been installed.
It'l probably be like that for quite a while and just sa… -
In all fairness the whole AI for fauna needs an overhaul. But you're quite complicated coding here.
We are talking about them first being able to discern your handheld item currently equipped, then also to remember damage it has taken fr… -

Well you see now we are getting to the real point, the game isn't easy because predators are too easy to dodge. Or because food sources are too easy to find.
What makes this game "easy" is the lack of intelligent behavi… -

I think your missing his point, again the game is probably gonna be quite easy at this point in time due to the large amount of implementing features.
And to be fair adding an even more hard core mode won't make any mor… -

But you see now you are starting to contradict yourself. Or maybe your not explaining yourself very well.
Either way, the number of predators is not the problem. The meta is the problem.

Then your kind of missing the point of the game. What's the point of amassing materials, constructing bases, crafting tools and upgrades, if I'm still gonna keep dying to the same stuff?
Why bother?

Minecraft does have an ending, the Ender dragon.
The difference is that afterwards you can go back to surviving, without resetting the over-world. -

Yeah that word. XD No I'm not but when designing these games, you need to consider a new players perspective.
If you add too many threats in too early the game becomes inaccessible, meanwhile if threats are overly prese… -

Yeah sorry the reaper leviathan, went looking for the mushroom forests and stumbled into the mountain biome, hear a huge roar, this massive thing grabs my seaming from behind , smashes it into the ground (1 Shortting it) and then g… -
Personally, if it's supposed to be an open world survival game, why would I want to achieve an ending that effectively destroys the world and thus the progress I have made?
It needs to be open ended, such that when you finish the "storyl… -

Yes but if like most players you have a base greater than 3 corridors wide and with more than one hatch, it does become a nuisance, it's a case of which hatch is unguarded.

Biters, also not on the table.
Let me just crack open this limestone deposit in the grassy plateaus, and I'm getting nawed to death by a thousand tiny bites. -
Yes and no, while I agree that you shouldn't feel "safe" while in your bases, the idea of stalkers or bone sharks 'camping' outside my hatches for a few mins feels more like a nuisance than a threat.
However if I retreat to a base, whils… -
Cyclops heat exchange allows Cyclops to charge power in waters with a temperature greater than 20℃, includes temporary rise from magma vents.

Cyclops diving bell, deplorable module that drops from Cyclops by tether up-to 200m deeper than the Cyclops. Consumes energy while in use aggressive fauna CAN attack player while inside.

Cyclops environmental display, remove the glass from the front of the Cyclops and turn the whole drivers section into a holo-globe , this would allow for you to reverse, navigate terrain more effectively.

Agree with so many of these suggestions.
Good show. -
Now being new to the game , you will probably think my opinion isn't worth much but . . . . .
How do you define real danger? In the short time I have died to a large number of things which you appear to write off as unchallenging.

Personally I don't see why you would want to build more than 1-2 levels above sea level. There's no benifits to doing so and you can always build sideways and then deconstruct.
What I'm more concerned about is the building of bases eithe…
