Also, performing random tests on Reaper Leviathans. Just cuz.

Experimental. At and around the base. -
I'll stick with Reaper. Smiley FTW.

I attempted the same as @garath: uncreated the scanner room. Recreated the scanner room in the same spot.

Huh! Really? Maybe I should zip my save up since it's still got a damageable scanner room that I can't repair. Unless *mine's* fixed now, too.

So I just tested.
Ramming a Moonpool with your seamoth does *not* do damage to the room (the Seamoth, however, it does).
Neither does ramming a scanner room or a multipurpose room. Even at full speed, doing almost 10% damage … -
You know, that's a good point. I actually didn't think to try ramming my walls with a Seamoth (there's words I never thought I'd say).
I can guarantee a camera does base damage. Whether it *should* or not is a good question.in [BUG] Unrepairable Damage To Scanner Rooms (experimental 55530) Comment by Kurasu October 2017

I was a bit surprised, too. The crash into the second building was to test the theory (which I couldn't believe) that the camera caused it. So I deliberately rammed the camera into the side of a moonpool. Boom. Damage at the point … -

Eh? No. No, it really hasn't. Certainly not in *any* of the stable builds until just recently. -

This board, for whatever reason, doesn't allow you to upload photos. The 'General' one does, but this one doesn't. You'd think the bugfix board is the one where they would *want* to allow uploading! -

Except that your drawing is a 2d representation of the surface. Not a map of the world.
Which is the biggest problem for finding things: the world is 3D. Drawing a map is hard because of the layers, and the fact you have to m… -

Unfortunately this one would be impossible; if you get close to killing a warper, they 'warp out'.

This is one of those times it's good to have a beacon or two around. That way you can drop it and label it as the wreck, and when you've completely searched the wreck you can either pick it up, or you can leave it there and just ch… -

Early game, yes. You'll have a few important things to use copper on. However, since limestone now only contains titanium and copper (lead has been moved to sandstone) and there's a lot of limestone around, I'm fairly certain that … -
I've been running around now with rotting food in my inventory for quite some time. None of it has gone away.
I think I can safely say that either the despawn was removed altogether, or the time it takes is so long that it's not a concer… -
For me, I map things out with the help of buoys. You can turn pings on and off, so using beacons as 'major landmarks' for locations can help a lot. Just name them something intuitive.
It doesn't help as much with the '3D' portions, unfor… -
I realized I should probably post this here, considering that it's a thread I made *specifically* about my concern.
Good news, at least: I ran a test on a Chinese potato.

They always could, if you weren't careful about where you were going. If they weren't attached to anything, they'd attach to you, doing damage. I just grabbed them with some space (or yanked them off rocks).

I'm playing experimental, and Jellshroom Caves is the cave system you're given directions to as of Lifepod 17. I wasn't aware you were given a direction after that as well. Also, just for the record, it takes nearly 100 floaters to get a reefback dragged to the surface. ..... although they move so slowly that it's impossible to tell they're floating until you go to surface for air and realize that you basically just ha…So after managing several more times to get a good number stuck to him without visible effect, I decided that I was going to go all out.
