Yeah, I don't mind a bit of combat from time-to-time. I'd recommend it to newbie players because it helps get a lot of familiarity with the game without being particularly bound to a team strategy for tech options.

I have to agree with OP. As an admin, I find myself spending a lot more time trying to clean up the language and attitudes than I used to. I think there aren't as many admins on servers as there used to be which has permitted the standards to drop.
