I've used it twice in my current save. The first time was to make a platform for me to take a base pic from, and the second was to dig my cyclops out after it ran aground....by the way that needs to be fixed. -

Yeah I tried, the island by base is on is just out of range. I thought of using the teraformer but that is getting removed so I thought i'd give the bioreactor a go. -

I found the bioreactor was the only real option on the underwater floating islands. My base is to deep for solar, and water to cold for thermal. -

The big issue is related to the fact that the map is static and not procedurally drawn, this means the whole map has to be saved and stored making the files much much larger. -

The seeds are annoying but bearable. The problem I have is with the creepvine itself, it goes bad way way to fast.
But i'm loving the fruit trees, I have 4 "offices" it them in it and I don't have to fish or filter water much any more.

I'm guessing that the reason is because of a few problems:
1) Artifacts, when removing terrain artifacts can be left, and they can cause tremendous lag. Artifacts are plants that are floating in the water and you can't intera… -
As far as water goes...I have it covered with 4 machines, and now this: I have 4 rooms like this office.

My main base is in the safe shallows and has 1300 power off Solar.
My Grand Reef base is supplied by 10 thermal plants
My Underwater Floating Islands base is Bio powered
My Jellyshroom Cave base is Nuclear

I'm building a base in every zone in survival. Not just basic bases either, each has their own specialty. -
The floating mountain bases (there are 3) contain all the planters, spotlight, observations sphere, desk, chair and comunications. Also has several plants you can get seeds from to replant like the fruit trees.

I think the issue might be that I'm still using a saved game that I updated rather than start a new one.

They come standard with 2 buttons now days. But windows is still better for gaming. -
I have 2 main bases.
First is in the Grand Reef, I have a huge network of power relays and looks like a spiders web.
Second is in the Safe Shallows, only because it makes building above water a ton easier and still have water access. -

Panels are in the Creepvine forest and the relay is about 500-600meters down under the floating island. -

I clipped the Escape Pod on my first attempt in making platforms around it and it bugged. Went flying high up in the air and came down in the zone I like to call Reaper Hotel, something like 10 reapers. I just reloaded my game rath… -

My main base has 800 power (needed for the water I make lol) from 3 Solar Panel platforms at the surface.
Another base I have in the Great reef has over 1k just for fun as I linked together 6 smokers with thermaplants lol -

I build my main base near it and it kept floating into it and doing damage, so I pushed it a little ways away and used the teraformer to make a pen for it. -
I've been through most biomes and have not found them yet, but I haven't looked much since the update.
