Well we wouldn't have a GPS per say, but you can have something pretty much the exact same thing. Which would involve a few transmitters in your base/s which your device would automatically triangulate. Resulting in a position it c… -
I think we should be able to deconstruct the lifepod, I mean considering all the other tech we have and the mission the ship was on. It would be safe to say the Aurora and most of the stuff with it would be designed to be deconstructed. So parts and…

i'm cool with things like a fishing spear and bow, since those fit into the theme of what the devs want. But still give us a little extra offensive power. Now as much as I want to go around the map and purge of the ocean of reapers. I want it to be …

for me when i die in hardcore it just closes the game, like it's telling me to claim down, take a breather, and forget able all that lost progress.
-
The erasing the building part, don't even going to try to explain a possibility for that. Because i don't got one.
The speed of this we can say is from how fast time is moving in relation to our own. Also I can understand a 3d printer from wha… -
that would be scary as hell seeing it bump the glass causing it to crack and begin to leak.
-
Well the laser system I can see that as a 3rd printer that assembles things on a nano scale, which isn't impossible. Granted the laser part lets just call that a visual since the only way i can explain that, is it's not a laser since you can see it …

oh gawd you just made me imagine creating a reaper cage. Make a giant glass aquarium and lure a reaper inside then trap it. Imagine walking through your base and looking out the window only to reap a reaper you trapped.

Strink rays have always been that ridiculous idea that just makes no sense to me. Because you just can't shrink stuff without killing it or remaking it smaller. Since your crushing it which living things don't enjoy or you rebuilding it smaller whic…

Well the hull would have to be a bit rounded because it's a pressure hull, also you know what I mean by less cookie cutter. More being able to make your base unique and your own. -

well... not really because we figured out that based on the depth and weather also the evolution of land based life form. It was determined that we are most likely in a sea on a Pangaea like super continent but one smaller then the… -
omg I'm laughing so hard at this thread, not because of the idea but the comments

I agree a bit because well they add a little "YA I did stuff" but at the same time it doesn't add to the game itself well taking time to add in.

I wish we got a diving suit complete with air hose, that would be needed for deeper depths. Because it annoys me a bit how you can just swim happily around at such depths, since we are using scuba and the deepest a scuba diver has gone is 155 meters…

ya that type of system is really annoying since none of it works in reality, to even a decent level.
Also we need coal, oil, and gas on this planet. Because it's safe to say the planet has existed long enough with life … -

That is a far point and a possibility because the lava activity is very common and in shallow water. -
Wait.. A second.. If it rotates with the sun rising from the south and setting in the north. How the hell is the arctic zone in the north?
Actually if it rotates that way that means the west and east side of the planet will always be in… -

A planet covered in a continents about the same type as Australia but maybe 1/4-1/2 the size and are mostly swamp land. Which would allow for the evolution of land based animals and plants. Well the existence of these small contine… -
I think the Colossus should be a ship you don't build but instead build the stuff that gets the parts, makes everything, and puts it all together. So you first would have to build say a salvager drone which would slowly but surely break down the Aur…

I'd say make the PowerGlide into something like this instead, do defeat is a bit faster then the SeaGlide but if you say "right click" you get the speed boost the PowerGlide has plus maybe 5 knots so a total of 50 knots. Also cost more to make and r…

Well we aren't quite sure what level of tech for space travel this human civilization is at. Because they could be faster then light propulsion, could bend space around the ship, they might have wormhole generation capacity, or may… -
i wish they would improve placement because that little blue area is annoyingly small. Thou a snap to grid building mode would be so nice for things like solar panels, lockers, and ect.

Ya that would be a good way to go about it, but should it have a little less illumination well the handheld becomes a little more powerful. That way you got a slight trade off as you would in reality.
Thou how many lumins do … -
Needs an ending so it can say you've done something and also allows for things to expand thus make the game more open. Because that way it can be, you secured this part of the planet but now can go another with maybe more land biomes, greater depths…
-
I say under the floating islands, the reason i say this is that the ocean floor is sand which would have covered up most of the resources. Thus the floaters ripping up the ground by attaching themselves to it thus creating the floating isalnds, coul…

the problem with that is the Cyclops doesn't have side or top hatches, so it could enter the moon pool but you would still have to go out through he bottom of the Cyclops into the water then swimming back into the base.
I think a docking hatch… -
I have to agree because well for starters it makes sense and it adds to the gameplay

Ya I'd also like to see fish spawn more near the surface, because when i swim through say a kelp forest i should be watching out for stalkers in all directions. Since right now all you do is watch around the sea floor, even thou the kelp goes to the…

Did not know Subnautica ran on Unity, that changes how I see this topic a bit. -
