james earl jonos was a grandmaster player in sc2, as well as a longtime bw player
19/20 as alien commander would have to be mostly luck, since the alien comm does not have that kind of effect on the outcome of … -

(Quote) yah that's nice, but it has nothing to do with carapace first, which is not an "exotic strategy" nor does it take much coordination or practice to get benefits from
bottom line: carapace first works well for pub games, is bett… -
(Quote) hey genius, that's what this thread is about. It works for all levels of play. the ability to move around the map faster just to die is not helpful.
on a side note, personal attacks are warranted when you display remarkable … -
(Quote) working in competitive play doesn't mean it won't work in pub play
have you ever taken a formal logic class? the reasoning people like you have is embarassing -

this kind of post comes from experience of other tech options. crag first is generally the best

You shouldn't absolutely need adrenaline to play, but it has a lot of benefits. There are types of attacks as fade that drain energy faster, but also lower marine … -
itt: clueless people
camo in pubs is irritating because comms always suck at dealing with it; it's manageable with a decent comm and players
shift sucks, celerity is the worst upgrade in the game, but adren is solid reason to… -
(Quote) don't set yourself up so easily
i tell people not to play on these servers just like they shouldn't play on any other servers that ban people too good under the false pretenses of "hacking" or for simply arguing with an admin … -
(Quote)
are you an idiot? wait, don't answer that
they run their servers poorly, and i'm just stating that. i don't play on their servers because they suck and the adminning is terrible
-
(Quote) and you'd be a terrible admin too
the guy who runs kkg is like a crazy redneck guy who is really into authoritarian server running. stay away from that server (or, if you're any good, you're probably banned anyways)

concede is great. it finally gets rid of those awful scenarios where the newbs on your team try to turtle despite having 0 chance to come back. that alone makes it worth it. you have the occasional circumstance where a team concedes too early, bu…

frankly, i'm not impressed by any commander
this game is so easy from an rts perspective i would expect them all to be the same
just throw your crappiest aimer in there -
spacejew rly proving that he can't play fade

There aren't enough top tier competitive players playing in ns2 to really give them a challenge. They are a group of very good fps players playing with not so great fps players. I've seen it happen in other small scene fps games.

(Quote) you can actually get fades in under 4 minutes rather easily. i do it in pubs sometimes

this can be done, but it would involve reworking a lot of the game, which is wasted effort more or less (higher ttks, different movement mechanics). If I were designing the game, it would be drastically different than the current … -
(Quote) man u are mad
maybe u should play some rounds of ns2 to cool off -
(Quote) that can't happen because if you're any good you're already banned from the kkg servers

I can't currently compete because of other obligations, but I'm as good as many high level comp players
maybe i should just uninstall -
(Quote) uhh tf2? are you serious?

(Quote) I think it's an incorrect premise that all competitive players are more or less the same skill level. There are some pretty huge gaps in skill between competitive teams
-
(Quote) first of all, it's 6v6
second of all, 12 v 12 is horrible for balance (incredibly marine favored)
people also forget that there's huge skill differences even among competitive teams. A team like archaea basically … -

(Quote)
no. you win engagements, you establish areas that are safe to expand to and deny res at that location
as someone much better than you, my understanding of the game carries more weight and should be regarded more highly -
(Quote) mobility doesn't mean anything if you can't win engagements. First of all, celerity really doesn't improve mobility except for lerks (because the difference between a wall jumping skulk with and without celerity is negligible). Second o…
