I apologize as well for getting heated last night, and I'll try to post more calmly going forward.
But it's really grating to be told I'm wrong because I'm trying to change the developer's "vision", because I shouldn't try to fix things,… -

More of the same from you, I guess. You were done before you started, what with snide dismissal and irrelevant tangent being your go-to strategies.
But seriously, what exactly do you think I should be doing in order to … -

What exactly are you going on about? I make suggestions, I comment and make posts here and on reddit, I spread the word about the game and get people playing it, what exactly do you want me to do that I'm not doing? Was there some … -

Despite how it might seem, I'm actually fine with the devs for trying out a change in experimental. I mostly trust the devs to make good decisions, but I think it's important they get feedback about those decisions and how players … -

So best case scenario in your example, whether I get my item or I don't get my item, the result is me going back out exploring. That part doesn't change. There's no net increase in exploration. In fact, your explanation actually po… -
(Quote) Ahahah, disliking a "feature" that exists solely to waste the time of players is bullying now? Wowee.

This is the stupidest thing, aside from the nonsense arguments of the people defending it which somehow manage to be even stupider.
Note: I'm not inherently opposed to crafting times, but this implementation seems pretty bad and I am<… -
Aww man, you guys getting me excited for stuff that's probably never gonna happen. T_T

What's the point of Survival/Hardcore if you can just play Creative? It makes the 'survival' experience utterly pointless!
That's... functionally equivalent to what you just asked.
If you want to play a diff… -
I think if games built around difficulty and challenge like new-Doom can ship with an intact console and no complaints from people, Subnautica should certainly be able to. I mean, come on, this is pretty dumb. Power to the players- if they want to …

Why not on top instead.

I think people underestimate how difficult making a functional spear actually is. Just tying a knife to the end of a stick (especially if you're someone who doesn't understand how to fasten things effectively) is only likely to leave you with a stic…

Consumer Rift is officially out and I know several people enjoying theirs.
Consumer Vive is out super soon, it's only the Pre's (dev kits) that are out right now. -
In real life most varieties of sea life are predators.

Just assume our diving suit built by people with space age magic gravity for people in space can handle a bit of pressure differential and keep us at 1 atmo, imo. -

It's not particularly scummy to charge more money for something that costs more money to make. They have stated their priorities for this game, and multiplayer isn't in them. They don't currently have enough money or time to fill t… -
The wiki was not written by the developers, and that description is contradicted later in the same page by the stuff that was actually written by the developers that declares it an "exploration and mining vessel" and mentions nothing about terraform…

Is the aurora really a terraforming vessel? It doesn't much seem like that. -
On the other hand, the Reaper has multiple eyes. The chance of an advanced creature of this sort developing a different amount of eyes... that puts any common ancestor way, way, waaaaaay back.

Our PDA is pretty barebones, and we can only craft items based on recipes it gives us at first.
The people described in the game seem incredibly pacifistic and never intended to be personally engaging hostile wildlife outside of well equ… -

Haha, I noticed this when I first started playing and it bugged me for a while. It just looked so weird and unnatural! I've been doing my best not to think about it since then so I didn't even realize it was still a thing.
Look at the transfuser dev tickets, and I get the feeling that's exactly where we are going.I just always assumed this was literally how the "hatch" worked and it just didn't show us the animation because who wants to wait for that. Otherwise why would the hatch have to be at the end of a tube instead of being flush with the wall.
Actually, thinking about it, simply being able to attach ladders to the outside of existing structures would probably be enough for the construction bit, but walkways to make it real scaffolding would still be awesome. What actual benefit would this style of content gating offer the player, from a gameplay perspective, over the methods of content gating we already have? I'm having trouble seeing one.
