I can understand if someone wanted the old colors back. I had a similar experience when H2.0 hit experimental. Everythig looked so different and I lost my sense for orientation, which I hated. I took a break, now I like the H2.0 colors better than t…

Now it stikes me from where I know the name "Disco Volante". Wasn't that a yacht in a (actually two) James Bond films? Fireball and... was it Never say Never?

I have been thinking a lot about powering the Cyclops from when I began playing and it didn't stop.
Solar powering the thing sounds like a good idea. And I tested it by using the "bug" this thread is about, and boy did I enjoy it! The pr… -

I do agree here, my preferred way of charging the Cyclops would be dock-charging. But still solar charging as it was possible until last week can be a viable method of charging the Cyclops since a large portion of the game that we … -
Does the Seamoth even trigger the crash fish? And can we get close to one inside a Seamoth, they live in caves?

Because only the ability of placing the panels was revoked. They still work because those (illegal) panels use the same functionalitxy as solar panels attached to a base.
You can emulate functionality that is not implem… -
I don't wat to sound nitpicky, but thats not a mirror, its an image of a picture frame inside an image of a picture frame inside an image of a picture frame inside an image of a picture frame...

Just started a new game (survival, experimental branch - this is important!) and its under "habitat components", the last icon. I do not know if it is still there on stable.

The last significant changes like added wrecks or added farming behavior or new blueprints were integrated automatically into my active game without having to restart.

@SpacedInvader: I am confused now. Do you mean the ~7m circles with glowing lava floor that erupt in regular intervals when you say "volcanic vent" (these have alway…

So it IS in the game. Tried to go there yesterday but sadly couldn't find it.

@rhys_elcins: You are right #2 is not a technical reason, the sentence is not clear. I didn't want to say that both reasons are technical reasons, just that I could th…

Maybe removing the terraformer has technical reasons. I can think of 2, both of them have to do with terrain that cannot be changed:
1.) Fixed terrain has fixed precalculated or hand-crafted LODs. At the moment terrain seems to be calcul… -
You have me captured. :-)
Love your story and even started to call the game-AI "Juno" in my games... -
Another thing to consider: Its an Alpha, anything can and will happen. For whatever reasons. I do not consider myself playing the game but playtesting it. At least on experimental - where the fun is!
-
I like this addition. At least until I get cauchgt in a vent. Then I will hate it. :-)

Discovered yesterday that in creative mode (experimental) you can craft LED Lights at the fabricator. These are items and can be placed and picked up. (Sorry, no image) They illuminate an area and do not seem to use their battery - at the moment, I …

Interesting: You can pick a fruit and plant it in a farming tray. It will then grow to a tree and have fruits of its own.
You can also attack 3 special plant with a knife (orange mushroom, bulbo tree and purple vase plant) and put the se… -

Unused items:
- Air Bladder: sounds useful, but didn't get around to make one. Quartz (and therefore silicone rubber) is in high demand at the beginning of the game and I can still swim upwards myself...
- Bio Reactor: from back …

We could take the lead from the escape pod using the base builders disassemble function. After all, we don't need it anymore and there will certainly be some lead there for radiation shielding.
-
Just don't get too enthusiastic, the Cyclops Chipped upgrade card has just been pushed to backlog (aka "do it later") but the battery recharger is still in "doing".

They could begin by reworking the steering wheel. It is blocking the most sensitive portion of the viewport most of the time: in front and below the sub. That's where the terrain is that I try not to collide with. Removing the blue glowing parts and…

If the "tree gets rid of lead via fruits" theory really is correct, which I doubt, but still, I would rather think that there would be a recipe that converts some number of fruits into one lead. Even if the lead is a waste product, alien physiology …

What also bugs me is the fact that fish dissapear near my base, but when I repopulate the area, the new fish stay. (At least I think so, I was not really examining it, I just saw them now and then when entering/exiting the base) So whatever drives t…
