One thing I would suggest early on would be NOT to rely on FXAA as an AA solution. What it does to art and texture quality is quite sad.

ananchronistic cosmetics really do not work in NS2 and would look horrible. I am all for more things like "shadow" models and marine armors. I love the way they look.
Specifically, I want to see the LMG mod implemented dammit! :P -

If you have an SLI set up I do not recommend these drivers for NS2. The Shadow Rendering Fix is not included in these drivers (but rather will be in the udpate after this one).
Or at least, I imagine it will be in the driver post this mo… -

A big reason why the devs decided to make their own engine, i at least assume, is due to the lack of dynamic lighting in other engines around the foetel stages of NS2 development. Pretty much no commercially available engine at the time of NS2s dev…
