The second problem is fixed with assists on some servers, which gives half the points to everyone who assisted and full points to the person who got the kill. I'm sure it wouldn't be much trouble to add building destruction/construction assists.

They haven't changed the damage of bile recently, just the range.
Bile does double damage to armor and each hit stacks as well. You also don't have to reload bile but you do run out of energy.

The only thing I would change about the shotgun would be to widen the spread a little so it is less effective over a distance. I can take out 2/3s of a skulk's hp from 15 yards away with a shotgun.
