The hassle with method is that any future travel between the surface and your ILZ base is likely needed to be done in the PRAWN. Which gets kind of tedious.
But yes, the Cyclops is a pain. I would have enjoyed it if they made it more use… -

The game satisfied my explorer's instinct for exactly 3 playthroughs, so I guess undeniably its had pretty good re-play value after all.
But I'm considering reloading the game for a fourth playthrough, but constraining myself to some 're… -
Some good topics on game design discussed here. I thought I agreed with all of @FoshyTakashi's points till reading some of the counter arguments.

Oh ok. You may want to check out the Unity website. You can down load most of it free, along with lots of free video tutorials for making all kinds … -
Yeah there's a lot here. But I conquered my increasingly shrinking span of attention to read it through and found some stuff amongst this I quite like.

An arctic version of the Cave Crawler would creep me out in a special way. Particularly if it grew to something like the size of a real life Antarctic ice crab.
I think a precursor crab-robot would make the very best pet - scuttling about your Prawn suit canopy and chasing off Lava Larvae.
As for the cuddle fish, I briefly named mineWhat about for those of us who are hydrophobic?Hey @Amadeone. Do I detect a potential mod refining controls for the Seamoth? Maybe even adding roll-control??
Looking to do this I extracted the code, but sa…Habitat solar cells seem to work just fine for building in the pitch darkness of caves - so I assume that depth and time of day are the variables effecting power production. How about the Seamoth solar upgrade, the same?
As for infinite …Hi @Snoutchi. I was wondering about the new vehicles too

This begs the question: "Will hypothermia be included as a game dynamic?" (Please, p…Probably a big sticky tongueMy first playthrough, like Ryan, I only used the Cyclops to ferry the Seamoth and supplies needed to build a forward base near the Cove Tree (nice spooky place for a base). The idea being I could use the Seamoth to shuttle anything still needed from…Me too. It's one of those unfortunate things that leaves the base game with an unfinished feel - awesome as it is.Wow!
Maybe they're sea anemones?Hey @X_pv2,
Sometimes your character receives damage when exiting the Seamoth at speed. I think this done is by design.(Quote)
Leviathan jelly sounds goodHoping for an answer from the Gods on this one .. before launching into another dialogue on this topic and possible game-modes etc.
@Q_bert Back in the day, if you ordered a pair of men's shoes online this was followed by weeks of spam email for Viagra. I haven't seen it for a while, so maybe it's not…In my game both the Cyclops and my PDA have taken to spamming me with pharmaceutical advertisments for men's health issues.Hi @Obraxis,
I was wondering the new game will be implementing the airlock system as seen the first game's concept art ?Wow, that's gives a very alien feel!
What are those red things then? Some kind of terrestrial giant tubeworm? Maybe in a light breeze their tentacles flow out to snare the odd passing skyray.
Also seems like a lot more…(Quote)
Yeah, I doubt my vision for the base game will ever be implemented. But hopefully Subnautica is the start of a long lived AAA franchise which eventually develops in that direction. For those who still cherish the dream …
An important survival life-hack is to always keep front-of-mind the very high calorific value of a sautéed Cuddlefish.Sure, the slugs could just be the beard-lice of some slumbering Lovecraftian nightmare. Too bad you started up that drill-arm!
