Yeah, I reaIly hope UWE turns fully pro one day soon, expanding the production and charging accordingly. I mean it's almost AAA level already, and seems quite under-priced for the quality (don't let this on to Devs though!)

Indie developers with early access development and incremental payments by expansion. Not everyone's cup of tea, but I really like this model. It allows indie developers to take big creative risks the mega games publishing houses usually steer clear…

See cake / eat cake? Hmmm... cake!

Airlocks of course - but as a component of a more fleshed out depth mechanic.

Thanks dude. While the interior of a rock pool is very calm, certainly just up above it, the plateau draining into a retreating tide would feature intense currents when scaled up.
I guess this, and waves too, would make any giant inter-t… -

I hadn't really thought about this in terms of game scenarios. But if I run into Bart Torgal and he's not yet sporting a set of gills then I take this as an indictment of the 22nd Century's education system!
Meanwhile in the C21st, if we… -
Yes, but one can never be too careful. Does Alterra retail a water-heated potato suit (XXL)?

I've never seen one. Do you have to play while connected to the internet?

Yeah. Legal is not the same as ethical though (else the world would be so much simpler).
Not meaning this example is any big deal, just lame. -
Love the base game.
Hope to see Below Zero include:
1. Some narrative reveals from the first game. (eg What really happened to those Degasi crewmembers? What's the ancient link between Precursors and Mongolians?)
2. Airlocks!… -
As for Subnautica, I think they've closed further developments on that now. However, I saw some info on this subject leaking out of the Below Zero trello. If you don't mind extreme spoilers:

I got a thrill from the old inactive lava zone. First playthrough, before there was a story ending, I blundered about exploring the active zone in my Prawn suit. Ran out of water ironically, and then escaped by dragging myself up that scary old dark…

Interesting all about the thermodynamics. When in doubt release the nanobots!
Anyways, the reason I mentioned the vid was to try and figure out if some currently unexplained story events (not unexplainable) might hint at some of t… -
Too bad this seems little more than a Subnautica 'homage'. I'd really love to see some proper competition take off in underwater exploration games, but maybe in other genres though. After all, UWE really took up the ball dropped by Bioshock and ran …

You heard it first here!

I should really apologise for being a pedantic twit. Your spelling is great - but switching those two words flips the meaning. (Gandhi vs Gaga - easily mixed up)

I thought most blueprint locations were randomised each playthrough. Or was that just a case of them getting tweaked each update?

Yeah I'd agree all those points seem kind fussy. To be fair though, none of those concerns were mentioned in the video. Cheers
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straw_manCould be a 'wet sub' (cockpit always flooded). Someone said there used to be an animation of your guy taking up an air-hose on entry, way back when. The base hatches are a nonsense though.Hello Games is certainly earning its widespread rep. Lazy buggers.A recent development spoiler for multipurpose room! Looks a lot like the 'grow dome' people have been asking for. Maybe the farming mechanic is getting some refinement in the expansion anyway.
@Halios if you're interested in discussing challenge playthroughs check out a thread on that topic. For example:
