There have been a lot of things that have been this way forever and were bugs. It looks like it just needs the PrecursorIonBattery added to its 'compatibleBatteries' list which should be able to be done in the editor. -
The fixes are now in the current experimental build.

It can kick in when not really idle. The one that more often burns people though is MS's anti-virus/malware thing that likes eating a minute of CPU time right after you start a program - it's extremely and unexpectedly heavy and f… -
It's only threatening if you play blind on hardcore and don't know how dangerous anything is so you have to treat everything as lethal. If you make a mistake and get bitten by something you realize how nothing's actually a threat and the magic fad…

Looks like it's treated like a fragment where when you already know it you get a two titanium consolation prize. Could either be made non-scannable or (lazy hack) the recipe changed to require two titanium.

Whenever they make significant patches they reset the "cache", and the cache is rather poorly named as in addition to data that must be reset (terrain, etc.) it contains a lot of real data that can't be regenerated like with a cache. While your inv…

It looks like it's next to your base to me, 1092m to it and 1079m to your base from the point I load in at. It's also not moving. Was the issue you had that it spawns somewhere else but isn't actively moving once you load in? An… -

Yeah, I just copy something in, no need to get it from the player. What I'm concerned I might need is the cellscache file for the batch his pod's in. But I expect whatever's broken is serialized along with the pod in the scene-ob… -

It'd be less broken, but mainly it'd point to what's broken. When I had it sailing away from start on me (before I'd seen that section of code), it was sailing off at what I felt was about a constant 1m/s. So when I ran into this… -

Could you zip up your global-objects.bin, scene-objects.bin, and gameinfo.json (I don't need the rest.. probably) and post it somewhere? Note that your user name and machine name are in the gameinfo.json so you might want to edit … -

The pod is coded to sail back home at 1m/s if it gets out of place, but I've seen it sail away, too. Happened to me twice. When it was sailing away, even after I pushed it back, it just started sailing away again. It was like there was some consta…

It's pretty difficult to make your game unfinishable. Maybe if you convert all your crystals into purple keys you could do it.

Here's a modified Assembly-CSharp.dll (rename without .lava and place in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Subnautica\Subnautica_Data\Managed, only use wi…

Btw, here's a video of that area you're talking about with and without the fix enabled. You can see the phantom lava damage as I go down the first time with the fixes disabled.

Yep. The invisible lava in the cave entrance to the precursor thermal plant blew up my prawn on my real playthrough which is why I've been curious for a while what the exact cause was. It's that lava04tolava09 material tripping u… -

Subnautica's day speed is the same as Minecraft's. Seems ok to me as I don't want to spend an entire play session in the dark. -
Normally you'd enter the prison in a prawn, leave via the teleport in the prawn, turn off the gun, then go back for your Cyclops in one of two ways depending where you parked it: 1) returning to the prison via the same teleporter, using the other te…

The dive reel would be really cool to explore wrecks with so you'd not get lost, but as-is it's so broken that I found it useless. If not fixing it, just remove it.

Eh, this is a pretty normal information leak from telemetry and I don't see why it can't get triaged in the usual way. The thing I'm saving for PMs needs handled privately, though. I'll bug Obraxis. -
I found something significantly worse that I don't want to post publicly. Who is the best person to PM, Obraxis?

If you're ok with putting it out of its misery, a fully charged (hold the button) seamoth electric "stun" a few times will kill anything in range, including things inside your base in the aquarium.

I carried a base-in-a-box in my seamoth and prawn so I could just set up and eat/recharge wherever I went. The larger version I carried in my prawn also had a scanner room. -

It really isn't. Melons have more than enough water to take care of your water needs. It's nice to have free salt and some backup water but not necessary at all. -
Well, there's nothing that really needs power right now. One bioreactor fed with melons can charge a whole cyclops. It'd not hurt to have a few quality of life items that are power hungry.

I've not checked experimental, but from the card he did the temporary fix the same way I did, then did the full fix a few days later the same way I recommended, so I'm expecting it will be completely fixed when stable next updates. -
Custom as in the case and cooling is HP's own design rather than a standard midtower. HP 6000 or 6005, right? It's set up more like a rackmount where you pull air hard from the front and depend on that airflow for all the cooling rather than have …

daynightspeed at any value other than 1 is a pretty confused mess internally. If reported as a bug I'd expect they'd just remove the console command.

Before changing anything (it'll be hard to do with that box as it's custom built), be sure you need to. Try leaving prime95 running for a couple hours and if the CPU doesn't throttle from heat you're fine (optionally choose to ignore throttling due…
