I had a copy of subnautica stolen from me on steam (which they refused to refund even though the stealing account was shut down immediately by them). I'd love to buy a DRM free version someday... actually any excuse to buy more subnautica software <…

FYI - cave bases (although you can find them yourself and quite a few possibilities opened up with ongoing terrain tweaks): in Most dangerous biomes for base building Comment by Avimimus February 2018

There's actually two nice oasis of life in the dunes, quite inhabitable and one of them is without sandsharks... also that one has a gave with a gasopod which somersaults... so definitely worth checking out.

It'd be nice if the Jelly shroom cave had a unique resource or had a tiny tunnel leading to the lost river...
Similarly, it'd be nice if there was more of a point to the mountain caves or the dunes (they feel a bit neglected). -
I suppose between this excellent work you guys are doing and knowing the terrain format - we're only a couple hundred hours away from programming terrain editing tools?

Wow! Really lovely work.
It shows the quality and complexity of the world - giving a great sense of relative scale too...
It might also be worth combining with tanzanite's maps into a collection:

It runs quite well for me (better than before) - there have also been tons of polish and minor improvements over the past month. We basically had the release version - just without the ending.
They also did a bunch of things like tweak c… -

Also, there are types of paper invented specifically for use underwater by divers.

A lot of the joy of the game for me was exploring and discovering new things (I used guides to find one cave system after putting in a couple hundred hours and missing it).
A lot of the tension in the game was building up resources for i… -
My experience is different - after 300 hours I've gradually started to accept the character's actions as natural.
The lack of satisfaction in the long run is due to the lack of a persistent survival mode:

Do we know this?
Is there even any real evidence that Alterra isn't from an aquatic branch of humanity? -
Hi, could this be modified to export a list of beacon co-ordinates? I don't need the mapping in game, but I want to get the location of all of my bases (I have about 52).
Also, a cool idea for a mod would be an ability to export bases an… -

Wouldn't it be better to sketch one? Nothing is stopping us. -

I certainly don't mind you being on the soapbox. You seem to have something to say that is quite worth hearing.
I'm afraid I have to agree with you - you make a very compelling argument. I do admire some of the features… -

How do you feel about people studying AAVE properly? Is it still a bad form of appropriation if you actually pull it off (i.e. after studying it academically)?
I'm genuinely curious. -

My own personal perspective:
The game would be a lot better if the predators had randomised levels of aggression.
Imagine trying to guess whether a predator is full? Trying to decide whether it is safe to sw… -
You know, I'd like the opposite - greater intervals between predators making noises. It'd add more of a need to look around - and make some environments more fearful.
IMHO, if predators were more surprising, unpredictable or moved around… -
IMHO,
A lot of the prolonged fun of this game is getting to know the landscape by heart - it is exploration, and getting lost. A map would ruin that.
There are some people who seem to want an omnipotent cyclops, no downside t… -
It certainly didn't feel safe XD

Solar, then thermal - if neither is available or if there is a convenient supply of uranium - then I prefer nuclear.
I tried a bio-reactor but it wouldn't use blood kelp. I didn't want to grow something on an exterior grow-bed that didn'… -

Carry several medpacks, trigger the crashfish and run (using a seaglide preferably). One can get the hang of it... it is just mine disposal afterall. -
Empyrion works too - has a nice exploration vibe and crafting. Unfortunately the AI is pretty non-existent at a strategic level, so it doesn't have that prolonged a gameplay as a single player game after you've discovered everything.

Can you build a foundation on PC?

A good solution to this would be to randomise aggression...

I'd've gone for 39.99 But I love this game.
I don't even really regret that my second copy was stolen from my Steam account before I could gift it (despite the fact that the account that stole it was shut down, Steam wouldn't return the … -

Seriously - these discussion are off-topic!
The question is: Do you see physics glitches with the option on?

From a gameplay perspective I suspect a 'cargo glide' would've been more useful anyway.

I actually tested the connection (using the terraformer) - and it is possible to make such a deep dive. One would need to build a base at both the entrance and the exit to the tunnel though. I think the main benefit would be to all…
