There is still a lot of life left in the ns2 and the spark engine. The next patch will be prove of that i hope. Takes a little longer than expected, but thats just because some game code unrelated infrastructure issues.

The hive skill is changed based on the time you spent on a team. If you F4 or disconnect it will still update your hive skill. As you team is even more likely to loose when you do this, your hive skill will decrease. -

You should start by disabling your mods, i see a list of mods being mounted in your log.
and delete your workshop folder while your at it. Its in %appdata%/Natural Selection 2 -

Yeah, steam sometimes screws up downloading files. Not much that can be done about that. At least the solution isn't too complicated.

Sandbox mode can have differences to the actual game, as it is a mod and does not always carry over all the changes in vanilla balance. Can you verify this outside of sandbox mode?

no, dx9 and dx11 are the same as before.

I use UKEs because it gives me a different viewmode to the default av off vision, which already highlights marines etc. So with UKEs and the default vision i have two distinct and usefull viewmodes that i can choose from.
