I agree that anything bigger than the Cyclops would be difficult to use in the current world. I spent six hours in the lava caves...mostly lost following walls and banging into everything. My poor welder. Haha.
But yeah, I agree. -

Thanks for the helpful info. I will definitely make use of those. -

Maybe near the final version of the game we will get a nice wake right at the half way of the window on the Cyclops.
in Actual surfacing capability for the player and Cyclops.

please please please please yes.

Since the Seamoth doesn't bank or roll, only tilt, I think an attitude tape overlay in the HUD would work. Showing degrees of climb or dive angle.
-
Also surface currents in the direction of the wind. With vertical movement with the waves.
Now that I think about it...this is very complex and could require weeks or months of work by the Devs. So if they do add weather systems (I hope … -
This is very true. It is also another reason I want a basic map. Even just a blank blue grid with points placed by the player. You pull up the map and select a point or beacon and that ONE thing is shown.

This would be especially helpful with stasis torpedoes.

Hi Alex, thanks for your thoughts,
For the controls, I am saying that the players arms and the steering wheel are badly in the way and should be mounted lower to allow the player a wider field of view to the sides and forward-down. I wou… -
I agree. I always figure an explosion begins much much faster than sound, so the shockwave should carry the sound. When you get hit by the wave, the sound smacks you. Granted, in a certain distance the sound will outrun the quickly slowing shockwave…

You get a big +1 from me!

The ability to make coordinates or at least measure distance from a point has been done for thousands of years by humans in wicker boats and dugout canoes. Having a simple direction+range from a central point that the player sets.
Imagine an a… -
It would be so cool to have a small posse of pet fish to ask like dogs. Keeping other predators away and defending you while you swim. A pair of stalkers could probably protect you from most other dangerous creatures. This also eliminates the need f…

ROFL!!!!! -
I gotta agree Capta.

Battery consumption seems excessive. But the game is accelerated about 40x. The day-night cycle is super fast. And the submarines can travel VERY fast compared to todays subs. If you account for that, the drain seems less out of sync. However, it do…

(obviously I've been playing too much Factorio. LOL. )

But I agree, any system added should be player interacted. I really wouldn't want mining operations all over the place messing up my view.
And you're right, if you have automated collection, then you need automated storage and processing facil… -
Maybe simplify it, and just have some collector that needs to be cleared of its items once in a while. And using the heat would work too. They definitely don't need to be overly common. And maybe only in deep water.
Make it something that is t… -
I'm happy to see this is definitive now. I look forward to a second game. ((maybe a Jules Verne esque setting?))
I like the game as it is. Thank you for your immense work.
If you make a multi player version in a subsequent release,… -
I would like it to go back to NOT being 'starving Stalker mode'. lol.

As much as randomly generated maps are cool, I like the map being fixed in design. It allows people to share experiences. I hope that over time they can make the map larger. Maybe a second safe shallows and more kelp forests. I would like to see a l…

You bring up a good point with the forklift... Once we have a laser cutter, why can't we start cutting chunks off all the big scraps and stuff to use for titanium. And some of the other items could yield other materials. In that wa… -
Oh okay. Well...never mind then. lol

I just thought, like, in real survival situations, there's not specifically stuff you need. There's whatever is there.
If you're trying to store food and you find a refrigerator, you'd use it. If you find a vending machine full of snacks, you … -

Oh. I thought it was getting deeper later on.
my idea here was to see if maybe it would get even deeper.
I suppose with 3km depth, you'd get three layers. Surface, twilight, deep. -

And a window or windows in the roof for sunlight. -
I would like to see a hexagonal room that can be directly attached to each other forming a honeycomb structure.
Also the square room should be able to do that. Forming a series of connected rooms.
