Not really. A 3Ghz Dual Core CPU is often not more powerful than a 2Ghz Quad Core CPU.
It all depends on the architecture of said CPU and what it was built for. -

I believe co-op rather than multiplayer would be a gigantic step for Subnautica but it would make things much much better.

Gathering resources and exploring is part of the Subnautica experience.

You can't install a new GPU in a laptop. If you want something more powerful then you have to raise your budget to around 800$ at minimum for a laptop with a more powerful GPU like an Nvidia.

You are a scientist, you co-exist and learn from the environment and those who live in it.
You don't control anything but your own work. -
But let's make it WAY MORE CREEPER okay? I really really love your idea and you put it in such a sciency way that I just feel in love with it.

You have 4Gb of RAM which makes you elegible for upgrading to x64bits and for the love of god don't use Vista, upgrade to 7 or 8 but stay away from Vista.

Multiplayer or Co-op IS going to be a thing in Subnautica but I think most of us have a very good idea of how to make it a good experience.
