    They better not. I used to work for GW, and I'm a background nazi. Everything better play as it should do, or I'll go insane.

    EDIT : Since reading the interview, I'm feeling hopeful. The 'We can create new units' bit was a bit worrying (OMG TEH NUKCLUER TANKZ0R RUSH!!11oneone) but apart from that, promising.

    Let's hope they keep the various units Army-Specific like they should be though. I don't want to see Leman Russ tanks rolling around in Marine armies.

    Looks cool! I love WH40k universe. I don't collect it anymore but i still have my army.

    Isn't the original WH played as a TTS? (Table-Top strategy)

    In that case I'm gonna love it. I always liked their work, and I sure hope this game is good too <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    wait a sec... they invented a new chapter (with GW's approval)? Doesn't that mean they have to make up a new child of the emperor to be it's founder who probably died during the days of horus heresy? =/

    Nope.

    They made a new Chapter, not a new Legion.

    20 Founding Legions, 9 stayed loyal, each of those were split into Chapters based on their size, of 1000 troops (roughly) each.

    I trust Relic to do something awesome with the amazing liscense they have been granted. They sure as heck didn't screw up either Homeworld, and Impossible Creatures was a great RTS.

    Edit: And the space marines and their vehicles look like they scanned the models in or something; it's a perfect match.

    Being too poor to play/collect any Warhammer stuff, I've always been a big fan of the universe, the history, etc...this game has me excited.

    There *BETTER* be the restrictions based on Chaos God followed. As soon as I see Thousand Sons marching with Noise Marines & Bezerkers, I'll go Postal on Relic.

    Hey, as long as GW doesn't fall asleep, there's no way they're going to let Relic do something like that.

    Chaos Gate wasn't so bad. Besides, I don't think GW took those games seriously. These days, computer games have the capability to be so much more, and when it can be more like the board game, GW should be concerned with keeping it like the board game.

    They said there's 4 armies in it... obviously space marine, chaos and ork, but what's the 4th? Eldar? Tyranids? Squats? (lol)

    The screenies looked kinda cool and the guy sounded enthusiastic enough ^^
  • TestamentTestament Join Date: 2002-11-02 Member: 4037Members
    Eldar would be fun...I need to go to my friends and borrow a bunch of 40K books and read up on the rules and lore again...it's good stuff.

    Yes those screenshots are drool worthy. Realistic 3D Space Marines. I swear I could of been holding a Land Raider next to my monitor and not noticed the difference.

    *gargle* *drool*

    They mention teleportation as one of the methods a race use to build a base. That means the 4th race will either be Necrons, or possibly Eldar using webway portals.

    I laughed at the pic with marines lying through the air from the explosion.

    Anyway, theres bound to be expansion packs for new races <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    ah... forgot the funny necrons... they sorta came in as I went out ^^;
    I was always a tyranid/eldar fan =3

    Eldar always appealed to my 'ooh pretty' side while the tyranids charmed my 'RAWR EAT THE HUMANS' side =D

Warhammer Fantasy MMORG, here I come! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
