However, I couldn't help but scream to myself "IT'S NOT THE FASTEST FIRING GUN IN THE WORLD, YOU FOOL!", 'cause the GAU-8(A-10 cannon) fires over 4000 rounds per minute. Plus, the wimpy little thing was only .30cal. Oh well, chalk all that up to gun-nut inside of me.

    the m134 is able to fire a little bit more than 6000 rounds per minute.. thats faster than the gau8 with 2,100/min with one engine, and maximum of 4,200/min with two engines

    and they where talking about a machinegun..and not a machinecannon

    I did see that when I googled it, but it didnt have anything about the firing rate prominently displayed on the front page, so I thought I'd go with a third party source that was all about the RPM.
