hehe, humorous.

Although its a little sickening that the Russian military makes more effort save beer than their own men on a sunken submarine...

Dude, it is a little harder to help a submarine than Beer.

Even moreso if the Sub fell beyond reach....

Heard this on the radio toda... uh, yesterday (gods, is it 2am already?) and it gave me a good chuckle. I can't blame 'em. I know the Aussie army would do the same thing

I highly doubt they are putting more effort into saving the beer than in saving that submarine. However, both are noble efforts and I wish them the best of luck! I wonder what kind of beer it is?

If it was vodka they'd have the Spetznaz (or modern day equivalent, don't know if they're still around) on the job, by order of the government.

At least the soldiers have something drink after the hard work. And it's cold too.

Getting somthing which is floating under some ice in a Lake and retriving somthing from the sea bed is slightly different isn't it?

another thing - beer doesn't need air to survive.

The business about the submarine was political, not motivational.

Well, at one point the Russian government made about a third of its revenue from the sale of alcohol...mainly vodka...so I can see why they're so eager to save it
