<b><u>SkulkRush Community</u></b>

Sorry guys ive just made one of the most stupid mistakes ever.... I over written my website database, which means ive lost every single bit of data i added.

I dont know if the community is now dead or if it will be re-written, WHO KNOWS.

I supose the community never really became a big big hit but it was satrting to get big, maybe i could get a team of tut makers, reviewers to get me lots of content for my site but i dont know maybe i could get alot of people from here to help but i dont know.

If i did do this would any one be willing to help? Map makers could make me lots of tuts maybe? as ive lots all my tutorials

/me goes and crys in a corner <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

    and that's the whole point of doing backups....

    I'm doing backups since I almost lost the source code of my mod.... such things teach you to be careful.

    Check with your website host if they keep backups. They probably do.

    You'd think after ns_nancy that people would learn to back up their source files <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Seriously though, try asking your host if they had a backup like someone above said, it's probably your best hope of getting the original source back...

    You might also try searching through the google cache, you'd be surprised how much stuff gets indexed. You'll have to be quick though as the cache is updated / partially flushed often. If all your info was stored in a d-base you're pretty much hooped though :/.

    It seems like this sort of thing only happens to important stuff. The number of DOD and NS maps lost to HD wipes etc. is crazy! Am I odd that no PC I've ever had has been damaged in such a way as to wipe the HD?

    Wow, now that's an easily misunderstood topic...
    Picture Nem sitting in front of his screen, reading it - adrenaline levels rising - flip to the boards frontpage, registering 96 users at 7:30 am EST in the morning on a Sunday - adrenaline levels falling - click on the topic - sympathy levels rising <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Sorry to hear this, good luck with restoring the database.

    Another reason why its important to make weekly DB backups. <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif'><!--endemo-->
