    Because KboT asked for it back in Dec 23 2002, I tried this. Thanks to Henry Livingston 1808 and a little poetic licence.

    'Twas the night before Christmas, when all throughout Forge
    Not a creature was stirring, not even a gorge;
    The turrets were strung by the entry with care,
    In hopes that St. Onos soon would be there;

    The marines were settled all smug in their base,
    While shredded Kharaa danced in their face;
    And comm in her chair, and I in my jetpack,
    Had just settled down to give the hive a good whack,

    When down the long corridor there arose such a clatter,
    The rines sprang from the base to see what was the matter.
    Away to the roof I flew like a flash,
    Tore open the pressure door and threw up the sash.

    The moon on the breast of the new-fallen skulk
    Gave the lustre of mid-day to the onos's bulk,
    When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
    But a miniature tank, with eight tiny spear,

    With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
    I knew in a moment it must be Sgt. Frick.
    More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
    And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;

    "Now! Basher, now! Lancer, now! Pricker, and Stickem!
    On! Crasher, on! Chancer, on! Dicker and Fixem!
    To the top of the ramp! to the drop of the floor!
    Now stab away! stab away! stab away all!"

    As skulks did flee before the hmg fire,
    When they met with an onos, mounts their ire,
    So up to the obstacle the tank did drew,
    With the tank full of spears, and Sgt. Frick too.

    And then, in a twinkling, they heard on the roof
    The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
    As I drew in my breath, and was turning around,
    Down the corridor I spied Sgt. Nicholas was bound.

    He was dressed in red H/A, from his head to his foot,
    And his armour was all tarnished with ashes and soot;
    A sack of grenades he had flung on his back,
    And he looked like a peddler just opening his pack.

    His eyes -- how they twinkled! his dimples how merry!
    His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
    His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
    And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow;

    The stock of the grenade launcher he held tight was grand,
    And the smoke from it encircled his armoured hands;
    He had a broad face and a little round belly,
    That shook, when he laughed like a bowlful of jelly.

    He was chubby and plump, in right jolly health,
    And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself;
    A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
    Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread;

    He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
    He grenaded all areas; then turned with a jerk,
    He laid his finger aside of his nose,
    And giving a nod, up the pipes he rose;

    He sprang to his dropship, to his team gave a whistle,
    And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
    But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight,
    "Merry Christmas to all rines, and to all a good-night!"

    Okay here. Thanks to Irving Berlin 1942 for the original, but apologise to same for what I've done to it.

    I'm dreaming of a green Kharaasmas
    Just like the ones I used to know
    Where all the corridors glisten
    and Kharaa listen
    For marine steps in the hall.

    I'm dreaming of a green Kharaasmas
    With every Marine that I bite
    May your days be chompy and bright
    And all your Kharaasmases be full of fight.

    'Twas the night before chirstmas, and all through the bulks
    not a creature was stirring, not even a skulk.
    The OCs were hidden in dark corners with care,
    In case the sneaky marines soon would draw near.

    The marines were nestled all snug in their base,
    while dreams of the armory put a smile on their face.
    The comm in his commchair, and I on my guard,
    trying to see down those dark corriders is extremely hard.

    Through the vents nearby came a dull patter,
    I drew closer to see what was the matter.
    Then suddenly a green cloud, my health it was dropping
    The lerk then burst through, it's wings were not stopping

    I ran away, through the falling stram of meds,
    several of which fell right on my head.
    I said "thanks comm!" and whipped out my pistol,
    the lerk fell from the sky and I relievably whistled.

    The gorge waddled slowly, his movement was loud
    He chuckled as an OC fell to the ground.
    He built it and moved on, no time to stop,
    Off hunting for nozzles so his res flow would not drop.

    "Now hax0r! Now nameless! now NEWBIE and Player!
    On 13376uy! On c00ld00d! On Seph and on sl4y0r!
    To the top of the ramp! OMG do not fall!
    Get me RTs, there'll be weapons for all!"

    The RTs they dropped, like a stone thrown to the sky,
    The 'rines ran into obstacles, the lerks they did fly
    Up over the marines, into vents they went through,
    while in base fell the shotguns, and some turrets too.

    Then came a chuckle, I heard from the floor,
    The clicking and patter of each little paw.
    As I drew up my machine gun, and was turning around
    Down the corridor Mr. Onos came with a bound.

    He gored and he stomped and he jumped and he ate,
    I felt for the marine who suffered that fate.
    I turned tail and ran, heading back to the base
    yelling "OMG ONOS!" avoiding skulks in my face.

    The HAs they stomped, the jetpacks they flew
    I groaned as I thought "we're an ill-fated crew"
    Taking a leap of faith over the wall they had built
    slamming headfirst into a gorge, my mind at its hilt.

    He was chubby and plump, a right jolly kharaa
    and I smiled when I saw him, not going any farther.
    A wink of his eye, and a twist of his head,
    he chuckled as he spat, and I fell down dead.

    I spawned from the IP, and went straight to work,
    grabbed a HA and welder, and shotgunned a lerk.
    Along blinked a fade, its claws it was tapping
    the marines yelled out "IT HOVARS WITHOUT FLAPPING!"

    The battle raged on, both sides they did suffer
    But the server then lurched, and then crashed with a splutter.
    I cursed and reconnected, my anger was slight
    and exclaimed "GG all, and to all a good night!"

    I had fun writing it, anyway <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Another one.

    And it came to pass on a Christmas evening
    While all the doors were shuttered tight
    Outside standing, lonely fade
    Cold and shivering in the night

    On the station, every window
    Save but one, was gleaming bright
    And to this window walked the fade
    Peeking in saw, candle light

    Through other windows he had looked at turkeys
    Ducks and geese, cherry pies
    But through this window saw a grey-haired lady
    Table bare and tears in her eyes

    Into his pouch reached the fade
    Knowing well there was little there
    He took from his pouch,
    his own Christmas dinner
    A bit of cheese, some bread to share

    His outstretched claws
    held the food and they trembled
    As the door, it opened wide
    Mind called he, [Would you share with me Christmas dinner]
    Gently said she, "Come inside"

    The grey-haired lady brought forth to the table
    Glasses two and her last drop of wine
    Said she, "Here's a toast to everyone's Christmas
    and especially, yours and mine"

    And it came to pass on that Christmas evening
    While all the doors were shuttered tight
    That in that town, the happiest Christmas
    Was shared by candle light

    Deck the walls with webs of folly
    Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
    'Tis the season to be jolly
    Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
    Don't we now our cloaked apparel
    Fa-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la.
    Will grief the rines when they travel
    Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la.

    See the blazing turrets a'fore us.
    Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
    Strike with spike and join the chorus.
    Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
    Claw with me in merry measure.
    Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
    While I tell of winning pleasure.
    Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la

    Fast away the old game passes.
    Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
    Hail the new team, lads and lasses
    Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
    Strike we quickly, all together.
    Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
    heedless of the hurt and leather.
    Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la

    See how working as a team goes
    Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
    Look and see how well the game flows
    Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
    Grab those resources with a big wide grin-in
    Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
    That's the way to a real quick win-in
    Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la

    I was told the second last one of mine was wrong two posts up, that the fade would eat the old dear so I wrote an alternate one.

    It came to pass on the Boxing morning
    While all the doors were shuttered tight
    A lonely fade, was seen standing
    Shaking with an internal fight

    On the station, every window
    Save but one, was coated white
    In this window could be seen the fade
    Without no candle light

    And it came to pass on that Boxing morning
    While all the doors were shuttered tight
    That in that station, the happiest Creature
    Was a fade by candle light

    The grey-haired lady got quite tight
    The fade ate spare and did but sip the wine
    The fade did wait till failing light
    On the grey-haired lady did he dine

    Dashing through the vent
    On a two-skulk open slay,
    Over the base we went,
    Chuckling all the way;
    Chomp on structures ring,
    making spirits bright,
    What fun it is to run and slay
    A slaying song tonight

    Single shells, multiple shells,
    zingle all the way!
    O what fun it is to race
    In a two-skulk open slay

    A day or two ago,
    I thought I'd take a walk,
    And soon Miss Fancy Bite
    Was by me on my stalk;
    The rine was lean and lank;
    Misfortune seemed his lot;
    His bowels let loose which made him stank,
    And we, we got quite upsot.

    Single shells, multiple shells,
    zingle all the way!
    O what fun it is to race
    In a two-skulk open slay

    A day or two ago,
    the story I must tell
    I went out on the snow
    And on my back I fell;
    A mimic went riding by
    In a one-onos open sleigh,
    He laughed as there
    I sprawling lie,
    But quickly drove away.

    Single shells, multiple shells,
    zingle all the way!
    O what fun it is to race
    In a two-skulk open slay

    Hey

    Single shells, multiple shells,
    zingle all the way!
    O what fun it is to race
    In a two-skulk open slay

    Great job guys! Love the poems! Merry Kharaamas!

    Heres something I thought of:

    Dashing through the OC's
    On a one-gate open phase,
    Over the skulks we go,
    Welding all the way;
    Lerks on the hive-top spore,
    DC camps heal,
    Oh what fun it is to bite
    A JP rush tonight, oh

    Xeno skulk, blinking fade,
    devouring all the way!
    O what fun it is to bile
    A one-gate open phase, oh

    Turrent farms, HA rushes,
    medpacks all the way!
    O what fun it is to seige
    The last-remaining kharaa hive!

    What do you all think?
    Happy Holidays! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

    Yeah, I know It's Threadromancy, but this topic is supposed to get stickied every year to celebrate christmas, so i thought I'd give it a little bump :D

    it's tradition at this point

    I usually also repost it in the inevitable christmas OT forum post so don't feel bad about the threadromancy
