"res ****, Res ****!"

<div class="IPBDescription">Why do marines whine so much?</div> It seems like whenever I'm an alien and go onos I'm accused by the marines of being a "res ****".
What is that supposed to mean? Does it mean I'm not a gorge? The whole damn team doens't have to be a fuckign gorge for the entire game. (although lots of gorges are quite useful)
I don't like this whining. An early onos is a method of winning, and if the whiners think it's unfair, blame it on the game's balance system, not on the player. This whole "res ****" thing is nonsense.

And in regards to your question: People saving for higher life forms from the start can be good or bad. It can be bad when your team is sitting at the 2 minute mark with DCs, a bunch of OCs, a few lerks, and 1 RT. It can be good when you go regen fade and kill all their electrified res towers.
The moral of the story: Listen to your team.
As far as saving for onos goes, the marine response should be based on how well you do. If you run in, get off two gores and then redeem, or if you kill 3 marines and then die, then expect this response. If you go around, taking out locked-down areas, electrified rt's, and killing marines, then they won't have any reason to insult you. They might do it at first, but if you are a regular on a server, then they will know that you are a good onos and they won't say anything insulting.
Of course, the response from the alien team will probably be different. If you are going to save for fade/onos, let your team know. It is important to have higher life forms, but having everyone save for onos is bad. If you tell them you are going to save for onos and they don't collectively ask you to use your res differently, then they don't have any reason to complain.

Listen to him... his words are true and wise. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
I usually never upgrade the armoury. Shotguns and motiontracking kill everything...
