NSadmin is voogru's work. I don't remember if he released it or not.

AMX > AM I don't care what the other try to convience you of. It has a smaller footprint and more flexiable. myhladmin is underway and looking awsome. Prodigy is programming it and currently in closed beta.

I use adminmod for my ns server because it seams to crash alot with amx... but amx is 100x better then am, i hate having to type in exec autoexec.cfg all the time <!--emo&--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo-->

okay, from my experiances as an ADMIN. (not server op, admin. Because every server will probably have a few of these... Its good to get their outlook too.) with both AMX and Adminmod.
AMX. Yes, it can crash your server once in a while, but it works. It does its job very well. It doesn't seem to have many plugins, but the few it has are quite cool. Problems: People are used to adminmod. They figure "Admin set glowing on:" means "We can yell out GLOW colour and it will work, even though it said ADMIN and not just person started glowing, then we can complain the the admin for it not working, then they make us glow hot pink to smite us and we complain more!"
Adminmod. Bleh.. Adminmod. The horrors of adminmod. First of all, it is easy to set up wrong. You can have admins running around with full access who are unable to slap/slay but can still kick/ban. Even though they should have access to EVERYTHING. Yes, the nice glow feature is okay, and the exec commands function is probably good (I hear it is usefull for forcing even teams and messing with llamas) But most of the usefull things will never be allowed to an admin. But it does have the wonderfull admin_ssay, which, when used properly can trick people into thinking OTHER people are executing commands... which will make people bother THOSE people for stuff like glowing insted of YOU.

In the end, they both get the job done, but can also be quite annoying while they are at it..

basically i'm trying to choose the plugin that enables reserve slots and basic admin stuff needed to tourneys and trainings... not gonna mess with glow or any "fun" stuff... so i guess amx is fine as long as it dun crash often

I was well over 200+ map changes before i had to shut it down and install a broken CD version. AMX is fine...rarely crashes my server at all.

I would prefer AMX Mod, it has alot of plugins. AMX does use less ram/cpu than adminmod, it has a masses of functions which you could not possible hope to use all of, or even use them all with ns.

I am a beta tester for myHLAdmin, it is VERY VERY cool, it has full mysql integration, and is pretty well written. I would hang around waiting for this one guys, the IRC bot is pretty cool too <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

AMX mod has over 400 plugins! Admin mod has a lot less than that.

Whichever works. I personally use Adminmod on mine, but only because I happened to use it first, and nothing in AMX warranted the changeover.

AMX I think in principle is better, but as a user, it doesn't make <b>that</b> much difference.

Go with AMX + Logmod.. logmod is really useful with remote rcon, it can send the logs to you in real time, and clients like HLLA (HLSW too) can parse the logs and seperate chat from events like deaths.
Also, get the ns2amx plugin from <a href='http://modns.org' target='_blank'>modns.org</a> and consider running a MySQL server to manage admins/reserved slots, if you do run MySQL for it, PM me and I can send you the plugin I created to help manage MySQL stuff (if anyone else wants it, pm me)

*Make sure to get the AMX beta from the forums, not the one from the main page
