<div class="IPBDescription">New screenies, need feedback.</div> Well, I've been bored over the last week or so and since the new texture pack was released, I fired up the old VHE again. I managed to put together a room and hallway that look fairly decent while keeping the r-speeds below 500. Tell me what ya think:

<img src='http://www.ccs.neu.edu/home/jefft06/NS/new/map1.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'>
A room.

<img src='http://www.ccs.neu.edu/home/jefft06/NS/new/map4.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'>
Same room. You can kinda spot the vent in the upper left corner.

<img src='http://www.ccs.neu.edu/home/jefft06/NS/new/map2.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'>
Connecting hallway.

<img src='http://www.ccs.neu.edu/home/jefft06/NS/new/map3.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'>
View of the room from the hallway.

<img src='http://www.ccs.neu.edu/home/jefft06/NS/new/vent2.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'>
The vent.

<img src='http://www.ccs.neu.edu/home/jefft06/NS/new/vent1.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'>
A different part of the vent.

------------------------------------------

Now, I know that those descriptions probably just blew you away, but it's almost 4:20 and that's the best you're getting :-P. Just lookin to see if people are interested and if I should continue this project.

Thanks,
-Sinter

    very very nice. That wad is the bomb. I'd just say less light in the big room, but whatever, looks great

    Very nice. Those columns make such a great contrast, so sharp. Anyway, the small tunell, where the skulk is supposed to be running around, the column doesn't seem to fit in with the blurry floor texture... That's about it. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Oh my, the 65k users will love you. These pictures look really good and sharp, but 650 KB per picture is a bit much imo. Anyway you have used the new textures well. This room has a good atmosphere.

    P.S.: When I see these edgy pipe corners or broken hollow cylinders I wonder why people still use Hammer <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Looks very nice. Just 1 remark: the ceiling in <i>Connecting hallway.</i> (also seen in <i>View of the room from the hallway.</i>) just doesn't seem right. Probably my civil engineering study complaining about rock shaped that way in a man-made environment.
    Maybe needs some extra support around the edges, with occasional patches of flat rock showing through?

    And as NerdIII said, pathduplicator is a plumber's best friend.
    Oh wait, you don't use QuArK. Nevermind then <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Excellent texture application, excellent lighting, excellent geometry, and looks quite playable from what I've seen so far (No areas that blatantly screw up play balance).

    I'm interested in seeing more of this map as you progress further.
