share news, opinions, and insights
Tool is my favorite band. I've been eagerly waiting for their fourth album but I'm not sure if it is even planned. If they can top Lateralus, I'll be a monkey's uncle.

My favorite song of theirs is the live version of Third Eye.

I really like Maynard.......but I don't exactly like the band. Perhaps I don't like them because of their complex concept of rythym and whatnot - I like a good ol' rythym that one can groove to: not a crazy symphonic muddle that doesn't even seem to have a constant beat

I'll stick to my Soundgarden, thankyouverymuch.

The song that got me to like Tool was The Patient. I don't know what songs you heard by Tool buy maybe you should listen to that one, it sounds normal enough.

Yeah...I have all of their official work ( even Salival, dvd style). Love the live Pushit version, Prison Sex, H...hell, all of them.

is that live version the one where he asks the audiences permission to take them on a journey? where they need to be "not only comfortable, but vounerable"...
    cheesy speech, but great music

/me wobbles his hand in a non-comittal way.

They're not half bad. Really long instrumentals aren't really my thing, though. "Schism" was pretty cool (so was the video clip )

The first time I heard Opiate I fell in love. Turns out the lead singer spent some time growing up where I live. So I got to see them play a local underground club way back in the day.

Ugh. so many chemicals...... but to this day that CD totally jacks me up.
