Ad-Aware
Divx

Something you might want to consider is taking WinRAR off (and winzip) and using ZipGenuis it supports a ton of compression types including being able to view ISO files. Also you might want to look at JCV Power Tools 16. I think thats the name. In any case thats what RegCleaner has evolved into and that link provides a download page for the last freeware version released (newer versions are 30 day trials). Theres also a couple other utilities there.

*Edit*

WS ftp Get the lite version for free, this is awesome FTP software.

Also check out readyroom.org's computer tweak guide (its on the left at the bottom) Monse has links to some nice utilities.

Good call on the Acrobat Reader. Normally I would include DivX and game patches, but this is for generic (ie work and/or non-gaming) PCs.

Ad-Aware is always good, but Spybot S&D does everything it can, plus finds everything that Ad-Aware misses.

Otto - I'll look into Zip Genius, I had never heard of it until now.

May i suggest some CD writer softwares.

Nero Buring Rom
Clone CD
Easy CD creater
Discjuggler

*Edit*

Thier all shareware :/ altho Discjuggler lets u write at your writers lowest possible speed for as long as u like.

Btw may i suggest WinAce it opens zip/rar/ace files and never runs out, u have to click a close window icon but thats it

I'm trying to keep it as primarily freeware as possible, which is why I may replace WinRAR with ZipGenius and Smart FTP with WSFTP.

Nero and CloneCD are great apps, but this is for use in many PCs, and I don't want to have lots of computers with Nero telling me to upgrade constantly after 30 days. Are any of the other ones you mentioned like DiscJuggler freeware instead of shareware?

Stuff on as much as you can. Certainly don't leave out stuff you need for divx, but if you've got some extra space.. Why not throw it on just in case?
