You shouldn't auto-win just locking down two hives.
That's why the alien classes were opened up.
To make marines grab res AND hives. Not JUST HIVES.
You still can do an early two-hive lockdown and I win with it all the time. The key is leaving one shotgunner behind while you secure res. The defensive shotgunner backed by turrets keeps out anything that could hurt your lockdown. Grab a few outside res nodes, eletrify (no bile-bomb, remember?) and you have it made. This is my main winning strat as comm.
