<div class="IPBDescription">Some tips..</div> If you are interested in running an NS server for your LAN party or just for fun and you do NOT have an internet connection you should put this cvar in your startup line:
<!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->
mp_uplink 0
sv_lan 1
sv_nomaster 1
<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

This will disable the server's communication with ns.org (and WON) so will not retrieve a wonid db for those that should have icons(excluding WONID specified in mp_authicons cvar).

After that, just add your normal cvar's that you use for LAN.
Don't forget that mp_authicons/mp_servericons will NOT work on a LAN as you do not have real wonid's

Note: in the next patch of NS that will add VAC support you will need to add '-insecure' in the startup.
