Being Bit/ Knifed / Onos Bite

I remember reading in the 1.1 changelog they were taking it out?

But now when I seee an onos attack a marine he flys tru the air and that knife still hits you to a side?

Or at the last minute they added it for a reason?

Knife affect shouldn't work on onos as it weighs heavier

    i noticed this too. i was surprised but didnt think much about it (?)

    I read that too.. that the "momentum" or whatever wouldn't get transferred anymore (bug) so aliens/marines won't fly around when getting damage taken from knife/bite/etc


    BUT: I swear, it's 3x worse than it ever was ... I never saw this happen in 1.04, but I've had it happen tons in 2.0.. especially seeing a marine fly 15 feet diagonally away from me, after I bit him
    needless to say, I killed him. He was COMPLETELY disoriented.. i noticed his model moved like he was looking around to see where he was

    Because, in 1.04, marines bunnyhopped backwards and you could never catch them!

    I agree completely.....I used to see people fly back once in a while on 1.04, but now with 2.0 I've LITERALLY seen people be fighting, and get flown from the bottom of veil's spawn up over the railing and on top of that thing in base from one onos gore......

    I have noticed marines being tossed around quite a bit (and personally, i get a kick out of it whenever I get thrown out of the action across the room.) However, I don't really think this should be so suprising. If you read the official online NS guide, it has little stories and such about the kharah (sp?) and the NS backstory. In it, you hear stories of the onos throwing heavy items across the room effortlessly. This is just an extension of the NS universe. As for balance issues, I find getting tossed helps keep me alive longer.

    The tossing around part is great. The marine-not-taking-any-damage-when-being-tossed is not so great.

    Try doing it to a whale and see what happens!!!

    Also if an elephant did get stabbed it WOULD NOT jerk to a side it would turn and run to the side, not like NS you just get pushed to the side

    nano tech enhanced strength? The permanent adrenaline rush(nano induced if you read six days)? Does it matter?

    To be fair, the onos is more like a rhino than an elephant.

    no, he means "Does the elephant have to be alive"

    after he has stabbed it, you will only have a few seconds to record your obvervation before the elephant figures out that it was you who stabbed it, which then begs the question "Do you still have to be alive?" to which, of course the anwer is yes (unless you have recorded your observation, in which case the answer is no)

    the elephant will move to the side in pain. you would wouldnt you?

    why is it someone always has to read through my posts with a fine tooth comb, i was not saying it HAD to move to the side it was just an example, fooks sake post something usefull or dont bother mate coz you wont be able to argue with me mate tbh.
